Personally I like Ed’s passion and Eric’s analysis. I’d rather have a Rams supporter commentating than some bog standard BBC employee and in Eric you get someone with an unrivalled knowledge of the game and our club.
It seems to me that some on here just want uncritical, DCFC-can-do-no-wrong coverage on RD rather than actual opinion. If that’s what you want get a Rams TV pass and you can have that every game.

Have you watched RamsTV, Jay? Because that isn’t what you get on RamsTV.

Not quite sure why you feel the need to bring that in.

I think, but may be wrong, that this is the first time we’ve heard publicly from SP to any significant degree since September 2023 and the fans forum.  @Owen87ITK’s advice back then was to watch the whole forum on ramstv before commenting (he referred to twitter comments more specifically) but it’s probably relevant now given that Radio Derby are most interested in gaining a sizeable listening audience on Tuesday night. This will be well trailed.

But this clip does suggest that there were/are legal agreements in place as part of the sales process that limit what SP can say. If that is so - and we have no reason to disbelieve SP now even though @Owen87ITK said back in September that he had no knowledge of any NDAs in place - then we are never going to get any comment from SP about his time with Mel, and certainly nothing that amounts to an apology or description of his side of the story. Every answer he gives on the topic will be evasive. Perhaps he was at fault; perhaps he wasn’t. We’ll never truly know.

SP is our CEO. We can like it or not individually or collectively but Clowes is the only one that can change it.

The thing about some NDA’s is that you’re not allowed to even acknowledge they exist. So just because I’m not aware of them, doesn’t mean they aren’t there.

Always watch, & find Shaun the Sheep’s forensic analysis spot-on. Also like Shaun’s sartorial selection & the fact that it’s usually a b&w blend. @Owen87ITK is also the perfect host. I’ve never done the extended Facebook thing but would love it if fans could be engaged with a bit more. I’ve suggested this before and it was pooh-poohed with “you’d just end up with Derek from Burton” but I do think it would work. There are a lot of very knowledgeable Rams fans who’d add value so I’m sure it would work with a bit of thought.

That’s very kind of you, thanks.

Disappointing but their forward play was excellent at times. Perhaps we could have looked at their recruitment team rather than Oxford?
Anyway was slightly inevitable today - how many times do we not hit the heights with more expectation and a larger crowd? As long as I can remember in the recent past. Also as someone incredibly superstitious dont add to the odds against us by introducing a new Rammie today and then not playing Mr Brightside just before they come out on to pitch. @Owen87ITK please can you get that sorted?! 😂

You might want to blame me for Monday in that case - my prep was slightly different to the last few weeks, and I’m a bit of a creature of habit 🤦🏻‍♂️

Well it’d be interesting to hear Warne’s comments on the issue of rotation and depth of squad. Also his team’s views on how the training regime should differ for OAPs vs spring chickens; and how it should differ for players who are out there every minute and those who are in the dugout week in week out. @Owen87ITKmay be a flawless ‘home team’ commentator but he lets Warne and the club muzzle him to the extent the manager interviews are mind blowingly dull. These are the sort of points of substance Warne could discuss without then having to shoot people. And - unlike the segments on coffee, bobble hats and Xmas presents (who cares?) - it would give some footballing insight into the behind the scenes

With respect, I am not muzzled by anyone. All the best.

Not everyone has the time to watch a video.. There was no separate message out there..

The checks were excessive. Bottom of the stand and then walk up the stairs for another check and another at the top if you were at back.

    Communication poor, again.

There were two videos produced and at least two separate website articles, with the information also included in the match day preview on the website.

It was also featured prominently on BBC Radio Derby & on DerbyshireLive, I believe.

What more do you want the club to do?

The checks are part of parcel of the terms of the safety certificate. Without those you don’t have safe standing, which supporters have been campaigning for for 10+ years.

I would suggest it was “for no apparent reason”, knowing how Collins “puts himself about”. I noticed in the second half another Orient player took a swing at him and put him out of the move. It was seen by the ref who played the advantage, but didn’t follow it up.

What puzzles me is why, with the overhead camera view, ie the normal view available why Rams TV only showed the lower angle, which was far from clear, which even gave rise to the idea that a foot had been left in or put into Collins after the foul. Incidentally the lower angle view on the highlights video is much clearer. Does this mean that there were two or more separate feeds?

On Saturday we were restricted to one broadcast camera with a secondary RamsTV camera that was at pitch level.

(We always do our own pictures now whenever possibly as I don’t trust the EFL feed to not go to pointless replays when things are happening).

The extra overhead footage came from a non-broadcast source that we were able to get before the end of the programme to show, though Barks & I were able to see it earlier to comment.

    Hope that makes sense!

Well I think you are excellent and where have you been lately? I miss your commentaries - sorry Michael.

Thank you. I still think commentary is the thing I’m not as strong at, FWIW.

Currently on my honeymoon. Back for Blackpool next Tuesday, but then missing the Saturday for my little brother’s wedding.

Here til the bitter end after that!

  9. I think this just proves that some people like some broadcasters, while other people think they’re crap.

And other people like other broadcasters, while some people think *they’re* crap.

    Guess what? You’re all right.

Personally, I’ve got no issue with criticism and no problem with someone who doesn’t particularly rate me. I don’t really mind them telling me that either. But that’s just me.

Carlisle ifollow service was working fine all game I’m told.

That’ll be because iFollow operate with a different streaming partner.

Either early this season/last season, there was a huge iFollow outage that hit everyone. But Derby don’t use iFollow, so RamsTV wasn’t affected 🤷🏻‍♂️

Died about 7 hours before they were promoted as well. I think his dad died a month later as well. Horrible all round.

There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about Bloomers.

Shrewsbury wore T-shirts with his, and another supporters’ name on, when they celebrated that promotion.

Fantastic broadcaster, wonderful bloke. I miss him.
