  1. I get why Rooney wants to play out from the back. Going long isn't really an option when you've got a small striker upfront on his own against a back 3. Baldock plays on the shoulder.

But he offers us nothing really. In his defence I'm not sure it would make much of a difference who plays up front because we lack so much creativity it's frightening.

The first goal. Can't really legislate for it. Buchanan hasn't looked. He's passed it to where he thinks Davies is then he's looked as he's passed it. Roos does well initially. But then flapped at the second bit.

I get what people say when they say Morrison is our best player. He probably is. But I still want to see more from him. Sitting deep in midfield spraying a couple of decent passes around looks nice, but it's not really getting us anywhere. I really don't understand why we are playing 2 CDMs in Bird and Shinnie and Morrison is so deep too. Would love to see him further forward. Where his passes could be more effective.

I've said this a million times, but we need so much more from Lawrence. I honestly think he's best position is upfront. He's not a winger, he offers nothing in midfield. Not really sure where he's playing at the minute.

We are crying out for wingers, Sibley isn't one, Lawrence isn't one. They are what we have as width. Supported by the full backs.

Finally, and please don't think I'm scapegoating. Cos I'm not. I've been saying this since Lampard is here and this isn't just based on tonight.

But Kelle Roos is not now and never will be good enough to be number one.

Kicking is poor, use of the ball is poor. He takes so long on it, it's frightening. It's almost like he thinks nobody is there and he can take as long as he needs. Peterborough game he almost cost us. Tonight he had an awful touch and still took his time after.

He will make the odd good save in a game but then he'll concede with something that he should save. That Forest goal, he should save. Im not saying the second goal tonight was a clanger or a massive mistake. But he should do better for me.

Everytime the ball comes into the box in the air he looks nervous, which will run through to the defenders.

The blokes a liability. A good goalkeeper will save you 10 points a season. A bad one will cost you.

Our best keeper isn't even in the squad. It's like Scott Carson all over again.

Marshall is here, we're paying his wages. Just play him.

This season is going to be very similar to how last season finished. I think we'll struggle to score more than one in a game playing like this. Infact there won't be many times we do score more than one in a game this season.

Any money being spent is copious. What's not a lot of money to you might not be to someone else.

When the EFL ask us to resubmit our accounts by the 18th August. You think that submitting them by the 18th August is a stupid action? It's the required action. That's what we have to do.

Mel Morris could sit down Infront of RamsTV or Radio Derby and tell us everything he is legally allowed to say. If the EFL can come out and say what we have and haven't done then the club can.

Another stupid request is a fan wanting to know what's going on? Are you actually insane?

The EFL did extend the deadline and still to this day we have not submitted our accounts as it is still on the charge sheet. It's in black and white. You can't argue that.

No mascots doesn't affect me? But my son loves seeing Rammie and Ewie and I imagine a lot of other children do to.

I'm not just thinking of me here. Same with a roadrider. Every club puts coaches on for their fans. Not every fan can drive, 16,17,18 and some adults, older people prefer it. I can drive. It doesn't affect me. But it affects a lot. But your response is find another way?

Tickets are online. Yes. But it's a shambles. Anything that goes wrong, you can't phone, you can't email.

I can't believe you've defended us this much.

Oh and yes. You are deluded.

Some of your responses are a joke.

All agreed but at a certain point we have to detach those that fail the club, from the club itself. We all love Derby county, the people running it are letting a club with long history and hopefully a long future without them, down. I see my money going into the club as protecting Derby county rather than helping out Mel or Stephen, who have no interest in the best interests of Derby county anymore clearly.

I agree with you in a way mate.

But once that money goes into the club. It's up to Mel Morris what to do with it.

Haven't we just had a 15% sell on for Will Hughes too?

    Wonder where that has gone

  4. All these supporters paying for match day tickets and now putting copious amounts of money into the club for season tickets.

And our owner doesn't have the common decency to submit the accounts on time or to pay other clubs what they are owed and to even offer communication to the fans.

Where are these minutes from the meeting? After they were submitted back to the club we haven't heard a single thing.

    It's an absolute shambles.

I've seen people respond to this charge be saying the EFL have it in for us.

Well they might do, they might not.

But if they give us a deadline to submit our accounts and we don't do it and then we decide we aren't going to pay a transfer fee installment that is due. Then the blame lies solely at one man's door.

Anyone sticking up for him is deluded.

No ticket office, no mascots, no roadrider, more charges, no communication.

I love this club. But right now I hate everything that it has become.

Assumption followed by assumption - There could be any number of reasons the EFL are questioning it - For starters they apparently don't have internal accountants so maybe they're working with outside consultants who need more time on our books?

I would imagine after last time they are unwilling to take our accountants word on whatever has been submitted so they're likely poring over everything with a fine tooth comb which could take ages

    All we have are assumptions.

Owing to the disgusting lack of communication from the football club.

  6. Rooneys interview was interesting.

Said they had to cancel the U23 game cos he can't afford the players to get injured...

Did we tell porkies about the covid outbreak?

He then mentioned that he doesn't know how the U23 players are going to get games now as he can't afford them to play in the U23s because he can't afford them getting injured. Players like McDonald, Brown, Watson etc. Who are classed as professional.

Also said Borkovic didn't deserve to be in the squad. But he's had to bypass the U23s and find someone eligible to play.

What a sorry state of affairs.

Sibley is young enough and fit enough to be able to play on a Tuesday and Saturday, just hope he doesn't pick up a knock.

Oh it's not that. Got no doubts about that mate.

It's just if Lawrence is fit. Seeing as Rooney has made him captain, means he will probably play.

And knowing Rooney. He'll drop Sibley in a heartbeat.

Fwiw we've played better in the last 2 games without Lawrence than we did in the first 2 with him. So I wouldn't start him at all.

    Rooney will though.

  8. One thing that does worry me is that we all know Mel is doing his very best to get rid of this club (I'm not really sure if he's bothered who too at this stage)

He is also quite clearly very reluctant to spend anymore than he needs to. Just the bare minimum to keep the club running day to day.

I mean we have no ticket office open, no roadriders for away fans, no mascot (Obviously this doesn't bother me, but my son used to love seeing Rammie and Ewie and I'm sure other kids are the same)

So why would Mel want us to have this embargo lifted before the window shuts? And have to fund the wages for up to 8 more players?

You’re probably right but I don’t understand why the sale of season tickets should be linked to the publishing of the accounts. The original reason was potential Covid restrictions and possibly uncertainty over which division we’d be in this season.

Covid restrictions have now been finalised/removed and we’re not going to get a retrospective relegation so what else could be delaying things?

I'm the same mate. Couldn't agree more. What relevance can the accounts have on season tickets?

We could have put it down to coincidence before.

    But we can't now.

As for the covid excuse? Was a load of bull from the start. Every single club in the country was selling season tickets.

The club just lied to us basically.

A reminder of last weeks announcement...

2021/22 Season Tickets will go on sale next Wednesday, 18th August, and will be valid from Derby’s home match against Stoke City on Saturday 18th September. Priced accordingly for 20 Sky Bet Championship home league fixtures, Season Tickets will be on sale until Thursday 30th September.

Further information including pricing, longevity discounts and cards will be released early next week.

    https://www.dcfc.co.uk/news/2021/08/middlesbrough-and-forest-ticket-information-plus-season-ticket-update

Tomorrow is Wednesday 18th August, so do we expect season tickets to go on sale, as stated above?
Tomorrow is "mid-week" (In my book, at least) so assume no further information to be released "early next week"... which is now of course this week, and seems to have passed us by... unless folk are now working late this evening, at DCFC HQ, and said info is wending its way to the press room as I type?

Does delayed/extension of the accounts due = delayed info on, and actual selling of, season tickets?  ?‍♂️

This would involve communication from your football club to get these questions asked.

All simple questions that the football club could answer fairly easy.

But they just choose not to.

  11. The club stated last week that season tickets would be on sale on the 18th August.

Obviously we all know that it must be linked to the accounts being published.

Yet we wake today and there is absolutely no communication from the club whatsoever in terms of the season tickets.

It's absolutely incredible the lack of communication with supporters and how much they take them for granted.

I also find it staggering that we haven't opened the ticket office yet.

Sheffield United tickets are on sale for 2 days.

  12.                      Roos

          Davies.   Jagielka. Stearman.

    Ebosele.  Bird  Morrison Buchanan

                          Sibley

                Stretton.  Baldock

Could something like that happen soon?

With CKR out long term and the 2 other strikers seemingly being Baldock and Stretton. The option to hoof it up to the big man is gone.
