Derby or England on Saturday?

England 100%. It’s a World Cup quarter final it isn’t just any international game. While a defeat against Burton would be frustrating we could win the next few and repair the damage, there’s no come back from losing a quarter final it would be absolutely gutting.

On this occasion England. If it was the last game of the season and Derby needed a win to get in the playoffs it would be Derby. If it was the last game of the season v the world cup final it would be England again.

Last season's promoted clubs December win ratio:

Wigan (Champions) = 66.7%
Rotherham (2nd) =75%
Sunderland (Playoffs) = 60%

 

Last time I checked, it didn't matter which month you picked up your points. All that matters is the total at the end of the season.

On this occasion England. I think if we beat France then we're likely to win the World Cup tbh. Whilst everyone now thinks Portugal are the team to beat Serbia and Cameron put 2 and 3 past Switzerland... Brazil look fine but nothing more than that and are a weak edition of that national team. If we win on saturday then that's great but it's not going to do much for our season either way on its own.

What a bizarre thing to say. Everybody includes my wife, my sister and her husban, the old guy I was chatting to in Marks and Spencer the other day, my postman and a few million other people who won't in a pub spraying beer over each other but like it when England do well.
