Parking in particular is highlighted as an issue. Suggesting you park in city centre and get public transport to the ground or head to Goodison Park area. No on screent parking at least 1km round Anfield.

Apparently there are some grass verges near to where the away buses park on Arkles Lane. If you park on these you will get a fixed penalty notice. It happens every game to unsuspecting away fans.

No dedicated away pubs but they all have security. The Arkles is popular but has a strict over 25s policy.

Extensive building work at the ground so check your ticket and follow the instructions on the map - don't leave it late as there are two layers of security to get through.

No bags larger than A5 size. No exceptions and no bag store.

There’s a car park at a sports centre next to Lower Breck FC about 10 minute walk from the ground. It costs about £9 but is a proper car park with security, not just a grass verge. If you go park on the left as you go in at the front as it makes it a lot easier to get out!

I know there's a lot going, but I wish we could just scratch the game. Just a waste of time with zero realistic upside and barrowloads of potential disaster. Sorry to be so negative, but that's all I can see. Injuries, cards, demoralizing results and stolen hubcaps.

Positively Churchill Ian - that's the blitz spirit! ?

Got our tickets for me and the lad,our first visit to anfield so really looking forwards to this, whatever the result.

Our last premiership ground visit was Chelsea back in 2019 and that was a fantastic night.

Any recommendations for a friendly pub on route to the ground?

Not sure if it’s quite ‘en route’ but The Baltic Fleet is my favourite Liverpool pub. On waterfront but worth a detour for very fine ales!

We could/should play a very similar team to the one that beat West Brom in the previous round:

Wildsmith

Oduroh     Rooney     Forsyth     Roberts

Smith     Thompson

Mendez-Laing     Sibley     Dobbin

Collins

Which just sees Mendez-Laing for Knight and Collins for McGoldrick (presuming still out) in the last game in the competition. It was a good performance then. I don't see why we can't go to Anfield and win this with a similar approach.

45% of the net gate receipts might come in handy.

Need to put out a full strength side and even then I can see an absolute hammering. Whilst we can't play on the front foot we also need to be aggressive (in the playing sense) and brave on the ball. If they play their reserves we should give them a game but lose by 3. If they put out a near to full strength side it could get really ugly. Not what we need just before some difficult away games.

I would settle for anything less than the Gers let in ?

I went up to Liverpool v Leeds last weekend as my mate had a spare ticket, it makes me feel a little sick to say but the Leeds fans out sang the “famous” Anfield atmosphere at times throughout, there was a nervous energy and tension within the Liverpool fans given how their season has gone. I think if those travelling are in fine voice as we know they can be there’s a chance to unsettle the Liverpool fans and boost our team on the pitch….despite it being a very weakened side which I fully expect to be well beaten ?

Actually Leeds fans have always been loud. And threatening, tbh!
