Can’t help but feel like a 4 year contract is a massive risk. If we’re not promoted or have an awful run of form before the end of the season then what?

I think we can be fairly confident that David Clowes will ensure compliance with the EFL's diktats. He doesn't strike me as a Mel type chancer.

Any evidence that Pearce was involved in or responsible this decision ? I don’t know either way .

Believe LR is staying, but probably looking to leave ASAP. Apparently wanted ~400k a year to be manager which is a massive chunk out of the budgets.

I tend to think the new owner would have got rid of him if he was useless - he may leave in time but currently he must be doing his job?

£8k a week? Isn't that less than some of the players are on? Doesn't seem to be too overboard a demand. does it?

Possibly, although it would have made more sense to appoint one first, then they could have been in place to have a say on the next head coach.
