Whatever happens, the teams around us have strengthened more than we have. Bolton have made 3 quality signings, similar to Pompey. Despite the fact we’ve signed CBT we have also lost our back up forward for the season. The midfield still isn’t right either and we’re one injury away from Cashin/Nelson/Collo and we are going to struggle. very similar to last January window unless we can pull a rabbit out of the hat.

Jack Thompson is one for the future. Just turned 17 and probably the best player again in the team. England international and looks a class above most players already. 3 or 4 years time he should be our number 2 minimum. Robinson looking sharp and exactly what we need in midfield right now

It is all starting to look a bit bleak, I did say they were looking to get rid of Smith a while back, hopefully he is the one leaving. We need a striker as well as to recall D Brown.

If we’re going to be keeping the academy at a cat 1 status, what is the reasoning so few academy players are making debuts and playing so few league or cup minutes. Some of the lads looks ready to at least contribute 5-10 minutes here and there (Weston, D Robinson, D Brown)

They’ve got pure heart and doggedness that we usually have but some of the midfielders especially seem almost scared to tackle

I categorically do not want to see Vickers in goal for us again. Ever since he’s come in we’ve looked so shaky. We had a settled defence and he’s changed it up again, exactly the same as last season. Here comes the bit dip off and another season of league 1 football
