Hard to see what we were even trying to do tbh, other than practice our reactions to losing the ball in as many stupid ways as possible! Oh well it's a good job pre season results mean nowt! duncanjwitham Posted July 19, 2022 Share Posted July 19, 2022 Obviously you don’t want to read too much into preseason games, but the slightly concerning thing is that we’re carrying on last seasons pattern of playing well against footballing teams (Hertha Berlin), and struggling against teams that try to stop us playing (today). And in League one, there are going to be significantly more teams trying to stop us than trying to outplay us. Any more signings need to be quality over quantity although only the management know the finances available. Maybe I suppose you could make a case for the young unknown 20 year old. But hourihane is well into his 30s and is not known for playing the qb role.
