Can't DCFC just tell MSD that we're broke, and can't/won't be paying the loan > MSD call in the charge on the stadium > MM loses any control he may have (and his sole remaining asset) > MSD rent to DCFC/CK until such time as DCC are in a position to buy it (From MSD, as opposed to from MM) > DCFC/CK subsequently buys from DCC (who profit) when it is mutually more convenient.

Blimey.  This is easier than I thought!

Everyone's a winner!

*Well, not everyone, obvs, but it's only Mel.  Duck 'im!  ?

And have MSD agreed to rent the stadium to us for a decent price, and sell it back to us/DCC whenever we want, and for a decent price? Odds are, it's going to bump the rent up in the mean time and bump up the cost when we come to buy it, if they are willing to sell it at all.  And are MSD just going to ignore the other things that the loan is secured against (training ground etc)?

Agreeing to fund a 3rd party loan at high interest, on an asset they don’t own and based on the promise and activities of a football club/businessman .. no way in a million years would a responsible public body do that with money that isn’t their own.

Hello! Have you met Derby City Council ? ?

Have you actually dissected my post, as if it were a sensible and serious contribution?

OMJHC, you actually have, haven't you!    ?

Who would like that idea? Just to spite Morris? Insane. Hate groundshare option - watch crowds plummet. Look at Coventry fiasco.

But why Leicester or Stoke? Surely given that scenario it would make more sense to share with Notts County? Lovely little ground with a capacity of around 20,000 perfect for League One and only 20 minutes away.

Effectively, County have to play at home when Fo*est play away, and visa versa.

There'd be nowhere to slot us in.

Never going to happen (imo).

EDIT:
Fixture-wise, Burton would work (as their only "local rival" is us)... but that's just far too small, I guess?

Not a fan of ground share and hope it doesn’t come to that but Chesterfield is at least in the county - only holds 10,500 but that’s probably all we’d get in the circumstances.  Other than that Donny Rovers ground is quite nice ?
