CornwallRam
I'm tempted to say Express Yourself by NDA. I've always thought that Special Brew by Bad Manners would make a pretty good club song. I suppose it really needs to be an anthem though. I can't really think of anything more suitable than Stop Crying Your Heart Out. Bob Mash
Steve Bloomer!! We've got one. This thread smacks of trying too hard. Club anthems develop organically. mwram1973

My scratch effort; I met my love at the Baseball Ground Lost my head in the Popside sound And that Ram still makes me feel proud Dirty old town, Dirty old town 11 points, save your pity Still hate Juve for 73 But that Ram still makes me feel proud Dirty old town, Dirty old town Cloughie's boys in 72 Dave Mackay, Cox & Smith too They were Rams, just like me & you Dirty old town, Dirty old town I did a version on here, several years before Liverpool started singing it................but our lot thought it better to carry on singing EIEIEIO and build a bonfire etc. LeedsCityRam

Derby County, yes we'll win again Derby, yes how much I've missed you Yes, We've been broken-hearted Rams since the day we started Derby, I could never let you go Derby, Derby Derby County. or whatever. But Derby County does slot in nicely for Mamma Mia Not saying it doesn't fit...but my toes are curling thinking of singing this! Inverurie Ram
Something simple that would work well. His Latest Flame by Elvis Presley. Get the DJ to play it regular, and the crowd start singing along with the chorus etc. "And Derby's the name, of his latest flame"......
Sweetness34
Given our recent history, these lyrics make sense to me (and it’s the most beautiful song ever written) I may not always love you But long as there are stars above you You never need to doubt it I'll make you so sure about it God only knows what I'd be without you If you should ever leave me Though life would still go on, believe me The world could show nothing to me So what good would living do me God only knows what I'd be without you

uttoxram75
Replace "I did it my way" with "We are Derby" And now, the end is near And so I face the final curtain My friends, I'll say it clear I'll state my case of which I'm certain I've lived a life that's full I traveled each and every highway But more, much more than this I did it my way Regrets, I've had a few But then again, too few to mention I did what I had to do And saw it through without exemption I planned each chartered course Each careful step along the byway But more, much more than this I did it my way Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew When I bit off more than I could chew But through it all, when there was doubt I ate it up and spit it out I faced it all and I stood tall And did it my way I've loved, laughed and cried I've had my fill, my share of losing And now, as tears subside I find it all so amusing To think I did all that And may I say, not in a shy way Oh no, no, not me I did it my way For what is a man, what has he got If not himself then he has not To say all the things he truly feels And not the words of one who kneels The record shows, I took the blows But I did it my way
