I've just seen him leaving Moor Farm this afternoon

The actual Moor Farm, or another one somewhere in the Peaks with the same name where the farmers set the dogs on him for nicking eggs and he's not signing for anyone till the stitches in his arse cheek have healed.

4 weeks, maybe 8, could be signed for the playoffs, unless he has Rabies and then it's the summer.

He’s at Port Vale isn’t he?

Warne just confirmed we submitted the paperwork to the EFL yesterday for Gayle

Also said a couple of other League 1 clubs are looking at him .  Then says any striker not signed up by start of Feb is no ones first choice and he only has two options.  That should secure it if the EFL want us to renegotiate.

Well one of them will be Port Vale so we can pretty much rule them out.... 🙂

This is his last stand out performance 2 goals and led the line for Stoke vs Sunderland. It's imperative that with his movement to drag defenders away we must play someone like Bird just behind him, making late runs as Laurent does for that first goal. Isolate him like we sometimes do with Collins and he will be as useful as a chocolate teapot.

If he's still got the legs to charge about and chase down, we should be on to a winner. Assuming it's a deal until the end of the season, any longer than that and we risk being stuck with another aging, expensive striker. But needs must, and we've got to gamble with Collins out and being 2nd.

He’s the best of the out of contract options, shame we’re in this position, but got to try and make the best of it.

He’ll bring some know how, experience and technical ability, I doubt he will have the legs for chasing around, or for a full 90 mins so that will have to be managed.
