  1. For me 8pts seals the deal. Bolton will get no more than 13 from 18 PBoro no more than 16 from 21. Probably get less as they still have 8 games to play Barnsley nah We've better goal difference so 88 pts may be enough
  2. Just asking on behalf of the kids. What time should we be at the ground for to see the players arrive? Desperate to get some of the players for photos/ signatures TIA Dave
  3. I've just listened back to the interview on Saturday. No mention of Adams. Why bother making something up??? To get attention maybe?
  4. I haven't a clue where the Adams issue was mentioned.
  5. I have heard absolutely nothing on Adams beiing injured
  6. Tbf the recruitment will be for younger players. Unfortunately we have only been able to sign older players. We have been v unfortunate with some of the injuries though (Rooney, Embleton, Fornah, Bird, Nyambe, Thompson). These are all young guys who just got freak injuries.
  7. I have to admit that the defeat today along with news on NML and Fozz has left me lower than a snakes belly. We are down to the bare bones and confidence will be low going in to the next match. We are all hoping that Collins will make a miracle return and NML has nothing more than a dead leg. Even then the rest of the team is a patchwork quilt. What a difference 2 matches makes as we had a strong front 3 going into the Bolton match. In terms of anything positive: CBT must start and must produce. This is his chance and he must take it. Has to be a 4-3-3 If Collo isn't ready then go with Washington. Waggy is good to bring off the bench but not start. Midfield 3 of Ebu, Smith and Thompson Back 4 with Elder and Ward. Front 3 to incl Wilson. Oh, and plenty of flags and noise...
  8. With the injury situation we are again underdogs so expect a cauldron of noise next week. Expect them to absolutely tear Blackpool to shreds
  9. Absolutely gutted. Performance terrible, lacked all penatrasion and the injuries keep piling up. I had a gut feel that without Barks we would struggle as he offers a cutting edge against mid table teams. Losing NML is the very worst news. Let's just offer positive vibes its an impact and not a pull. Injury wise, for me, it's down to aging players but bloody hell we can't take much more of this. I fully expect next week a 4-3-3 with CBT, Washington and Waggy up front to start with Collo on the bench. Means we will have to run 2 makeshift fullbacks which is a concern. Feel for for Ebu as he has been immense but he should have buried that chance and his confidence drained away. Still in our hands but only by a slither
  10. Managaed to snaffle Wycombe tickets. Well pleased
  11. I agree that as a sub he is perfect. Give him 30 mins and he can get some joy down the flanks
  12. Still clearly in out hands. 6pts this week and we will be in great shape
  13. I've had a look at Boltons remaining fixtures and it makes very pleasant reading. Seven of the next 10 games are away and they play all the top 7 before the end of the season. Throw in Exeter and Wigan away, and that is a grim set of fixtures. Second place really is there for the taking
  14. They were a decent, well drilled outfit and you can see why they are up there. I thought we battled hard and tried to get the ball on the ground. We obviously were lacking a focal so it was always going to be difficult. Bradley was absolutely Head and shoulders MOTM. That one bit of skill second half was worth the admission price alone. Hats off to the management team for making the necessary tweaks as they worked. The atmosphere second half was the best since relegation. Everyone knew the team were up against it and came together as one.
  15. Knowing what sort of character Collins is, he'll be back asap
  16. Got to admit that we are besieged with bad luck up top. We cant even get young laddo back from his loan. Expect a front 3 on Saturday to be NML Tom B Probably Somny up top
  17. The point I was making was that under Liam he wanted to play football for the sake of it and at all costs. Exeter looked the same last night. I'm all for pragmatism and last night was the epitome of that. I really enjoyed the fact we defended resolutely and then looked to get in behind their fullbacks. Away from home we are perfectly set up as the onus is always on the home team to press. Home is where the problem is. Maybe win all the away matches and draw all the hone matches???
  18. Exeter were easy on the eye and that was about it. Possession for possessions sake is pointless. I'll never forget when we played Shrew away last season, and had about 80% of possession. Cash made the most passes during the match in the history of forever. We were absolutely toothless upfront that night. Unfortunatelly we have players who are perfect for a counter and that is why our away form is so good. When it comes to dominating at home we have seldom been able. A very difficult quandary to overcome as home fans would rightly be pissed if we sit back and let the opposition dictate. Last night was solid beef and very pragmatic. Worked a treat
