Of all the ACLs we've had over the years, this one for some reason feels the most sickening to me. He's been so patient for his chance, was threatening to have his breakthrough year and then this happens.

And what a reliable utility man, anywhere in the backline or midfield. Could have been huge for helping keep this squad fresh all year.

It's just so cruel for him. Hope Fozzy can get an arm round him as he has been there 3 times

The bright note, and I really hesitate to use that expression with such news, is that our medical team and physios are used to dealing with this injury.  Hopefully that will help Jake.  And in the darker moments not only will he have Fozzy but he'll also have Fozzy's example - you can get back to full fitness and the first team after an ACL

Absolutely horrendous for the poor lad. No one wants to miss an entire season of football, particularly not when it’s only your second at senior level.

Think we need to sign someone to cover for this injury. We’re extremely light at CB now, with only Cashin, Nelson and Bradley natural players in the position. Have to look at the free agent market and see if there’s someone who’d be willing to join us for the season.

Looking on the bright side....I got off with my private nurse in 1993 whilst recovering from my ACL rebuild.....aaahhhhh Sarah....

Anyway, go Jake....if you've got a few months off, may as well try to make the best of things....👍

So sad for him, really like him as a player , and seems a great lad, but he will return, he has the fight and desire, looking forward to seeing him back in a Rams shirt. The best of luck on your recovery.
