Cashin has been snubbed in the shortlist for the EFL young player awards. despite being 4th of ALL players in the whoscored ratings, unlike the 3 nominees who aren't in the top 10.

It  sums up the EFL feelings towards the club.

Obviously the EFL don't use Whoscored or whatever it's called.

But it's another excuse to trot out the same pony about the EFL having yet again another hidden agenda against the club.

Record. Change. The.

The efl conspiracy thing is getting boring. It’s really not a thing.

cashin has been pretty average since Christmas I think. Was excellent early on though.

The Ipswich player who has been nominated has only played 1/4 of the minutes that Cashin has. That hardly seems fair to Cashin, who's had the odd bad game since Xmas, but at least 30 good ones all season.

Liked your post for this point.

Saw @Steve Bloomer's Washing mention McGoldrick snubbed earlier as well.

I think all club fans are biased, how much League 1 football do we watch to say who should and shouldn't be up for the award?

The Jackie Stamps is surely worth more given it's decided by the fans of the club who have seen you week in week out.

Obviously Ipswich don't rate Humphries as highly as Derby rate Cashin also. Cashin has played all 3,976 minutes possible in his league games for Derby this season. Whereas, Humphries has played only 460 minutes of a possible 919 minutes of games that he's been selected for at Ipswich this season. So, on average they've kept him on the pitch for one half of 10 games out of 40 games and he's been put ahead of Cashin, who has been a key player throughout our season, despite a slight lowering of his very high standards recently. He's only played enough time for 5 matches and he's been shortlisted for the top award, that's ridiculous.

Exactly this. Forget bias, it's just incompetence of the usual EFL standard.

Yes so ridiculous it absolutely must be another EFL conspiracy against us.

Keep pointing it out - I've tried too - but reason, logic and rational thinking free from bias aren't strong suits of conspiracy theorists, whether it concerns moon landings, covid-19 or Derby County.

It's pathetic. It also reflects poorly on us as an entire fanbase, however unfair that may be.

Ideally we'd have a sub-forum where those who genuinely think the EFL, referees, assistant referees, fourth officials, opposition ball boys, Sky Sports, Sky Sports commentators, Sky Sports guests, every national newspaper and journalist etc are actively persuing an anti-Derby County agenda can dwell and post their juvenile nonsense.

That way they can do what conspiracy theorists do and back one another's ill-considered opinion up as much as they wish whilst leaving us adults to enjoy the forum like we used to.
