Standouts we’re McG (obviously), Knight and Dobbin, everyone else a 7 out of 10 or even better. The work rate when 5 up was so impressive

Knight’s goal was out of the David McGoldrick Compendium of Cool Finishes (17th ed, 2023)

Those who have been trolling Dobbin must be thinking they backed the wrong horse

Those trolling Dobbin clearly can’t see the bigger picture. Thankfully we have a manager who can.

There are 6-7 competent teams and the rest of the division is pure dross.

Agree - the top 6 plus Portsmouth

The gap between the top teams and the bottom teams is enormous in League one. It's because you have clubs like Derby and Sheffield Wednesday in the same division as Forest Green and Morecambe.

There are a couple of bigger teams still to play at Pride Park like Pompey, Charlton and Ipswich, but the rest are lower division sides we should be beating.

The real tests to our automatic promotion aspirations will come at Wycombe, Barnsley, Peterborough, Plymouth, Sheff Wed and even Exeter.

We have some tough games to play on the road and I’m not sure the famed win your home games and draw away will see us make up the gap.

We will need to win some tougher away games to make up for the dropped points at the likes of Burton, Morecambe, Shrewsbury, Lincoln and Fleetwood.

A couple of quotes from the Morecambe Forum.

"Ref is giving them everything. We've been pulled back/down a few times and got nothing, but their lads go down, free-kick every time."

Famiiar?

"Yes Derby are excellent, but we're just letting them attack, attack and attack again. Their defence could start a card school to keep them occupied."
