In previous years, and I'nm going back into the 80s, I always expected Derby to slip up when they were on a run. I just don't expect it with this team. Maybe the exception was the Jim Smith team that went 20+ games unbeaten. I'd be worried if I was team above Derby. I like the resilience and toughness the side shows. For years I’ve felt like we were often too soft or nice, this season there’s something different. I think it’s down to a combination of the management teams approach, the qualities added to the squad in terms of the more seasoned pros, and the battle hardening that last season offered to the younger lads like Cashin, Knight and Bird.
