Not just blaming Cashin and Curtis here but with there lack of pace we defend too deep and Cash is not the greatest passer then backs off we need quicker centre backs who will push up and condense the play in the opposition half imo

It is not a transitional season. We can’t be happy for to bum around in league one whilst Liam ‘learns his trade’. The aim is to get promoted straight away.

Chester is too old to play right back and Smith would be the same as Knight, a centre midfielder playing in the wrong position.

The issue now is we play Oduroh and risk mistakes or we try to convert someone into a right back. Either way it is a risk.

Look at what's happened to other 'big' clubs when they go down to League One. Sheffield Wednesday, Sunderland, Ipswich, Forest etc. The evidence shows clubs like ours generally don't bounce back at the first attempt.

That doesn't mean it shouldn't be the aim but it does mean that Rosenior shouldn't be considered to have 'failed' if we don't do it. A top 10 finish is success given what the club's been through recently.

The current player we are trying to shoe horn into the right back position gave a penalty away today, so it can't be much worse to play a recognised right back there even if they are inexperienced.

Knight needs to be in midfield. Play literally anybody else at right back

I actually think Oduroh would benefit playing next to Davies. I always remember Ashley Cole saying playing next to Tony Adams really helped him. Adams would tell him where to go and when to do things. This turned him into a world class left back.

Before people over analyse this to death and want to rip everything up, to put it simply, we need to play better than we are  (the last two performances have been poor I had no issue with how we were playing before these two games), and we have got to start taking our chances, especially away from home.

So because they failed it means we should to? We have a team full of players who until last season we’re playing in the league above.

It is good to see our victim mentality will mean we can play poorly with no recompense.

And get team selection right!
