Wasn’t it Warne who sent him away? Could be wrong.

Definitely L.R. He went start of the season before Warne, who said a few weeks back Barker had been in contact with Carlisle, (presumably Simmo?)but he was yet to speak to him at that time.

Reckon unless Warne can’t get anyone else and/or feels we’re desperate for cover; he’ll let him stay unless he thinks like Osula with us, it’s doing him no good being there.

If he can’t get in Carlisles starting eleven though it perhaps raises a question on the validity of your stat.

Because he's injury prone, rather than just not being good enough.

Bennett was one of our most prolific goal contributors under Lampard, but his body couldn't handle playing more than he did. He only played the equivalent to 14 full games that season, but finished with 3 goals and 4 assists.

I said at the start of the season he needs a full season out on loan, but still needs to be managed carefully. Due to Carlisle's' form over the first 7 games he had to wait for a chance. He got it, then after a series of starts (some full 90s) he picked up an injury. Overall, he's getting about as much football as I would expect. if he came back, he wouldn't get quite as much football, but I certainly would expect him to have a greater impact off the bench than Osula had.

Based on what?

I'd think he have similar impact, but different.

There's their actual record for us coming off the bench in league games.

Osula
Sub apps = 13
Sub mins = 199
Goals = 0
Assists = 0
Yellow cards = 0
Red cards = 1

Stretton
Sub apps = 8
Sub mins = 225
Goals = 1
Assists = 0
Yellow cards = 1
Red cards = 0

Also note, Stretton's appearances were all in the Championship in a struggling side, whereas Osula was in a L1 side pushing for promotion.
There's also Stretton's end product at every level:
U18s = 27 goal contributions in 39 games (1 per 104 mins)
U19s = 5 goal contributions in 6 games (1 per 92 mins)
U21/23s = 16 goal contributions in 25 games (1 per 110 mins)
Stockport = 3 goal contributions in 5 games (1 per 82 mins)
Carlisle= 5 goal contributions in 23 games (1 per 210 mins)
Derby = 2 goal contributions in 16 games (1 per 240 mins)

So pretty similar and neither enough to make much of a difference.

Better for Stretton stay put and try and get regular game time.

You could interpret it that way, but I'll also reiterate Stretton's appearances were all in the Championship in a struggling side, whereas Osula was in a L1 side pushing for promotion.

You could suggest that a player gets more time on the ball in the Championship. But in the end neither of them made much difference coming off the bench. He's not good enough to stake a claim in front of Collins.

If he's in front of Collins he'd be off side all the time ?

I wish I saw the promise people see in Stretton. I just don’t get it. You’d really want to be standing out in league two at the age of 21 if wanting to play higher too.

What exactly is his strength? Hold up play, pace, finishing, work rate?

also regarding his playing time, if we signed someone from Carlisle who‘d scored 2 in 8 starts and 9 sun appearances people would lose their minds.
