We have little physical presence up front so we have to play football from the back and create space in between the lines. It's going to be a miracle of we stay up whatever style of football we're playing... Rooney wants them all to feel confident on the ball, retain possession, be happy to accept the ball under pressure and build play...instead of just kicking it long. I prefer that idea to it being a simple tactic. Because their players were already pressing the ball and thus creating space in the middle of the field already, made no sense for Allsop to continue picking really high risk passes at that point.
