Nothing is 100% at this level. We defended well. All of those chances had a high chance of success, nothing is 100% but more often than not those errors would have been capitalised on and a defender blamed. As I said that my post was just based on highlights. How much more of this sort of stuff was there but not considered important though? Maybe loads maybe none, I'm.not pretending to know. What was there was some poor defending, excused because it ended 0-0. We've lost games before where we've failed to score and the opposition have taken advantage of it via just one of those 4 scenarios, with a defender villanised for it. That's the point. I doubt you'd have the same view had any if the situations involved Andre Wisdom Edited September 15, 2021 by Coconut's Beard

If their player had headed it 2cm further to the left and it was Wisdom stood watching you'd be saying the manager did all he could but his defence let him down. Now that's 100%> It's all in the evidence of your past posts. You've used this 'silly statement' thing before and then done what's not quite a u-turn but a 170 degree shift. I don't rate Wisdom, but if he has a good game then he has a good game. What point are you making - you seem to think it's about point scoring! ? We defended well and they didn't score. Your idea of what a good game is depends more on what the opposition does than our own players do. We didn't defend well, no better than many matches we've lost. Them not scoring isn't proof of good defending unless you're a complete simpleton with no analytical skills. If they hit the ball 3cm to the left in one of 3-4 great scoring opportunities we lose the game and there's a barrage of abuse aimed at the defenders, even if it's just a 1-0 defeat. sage
I thought he was better today than on Tuesday. Good han3dlong and when he had to punch, he got more distance. uttoxram75

Another very good game. Just needs to practice his kicking! That save on the line was excellent. TBH he's my MotM. CBRammette

Igor Igor Whats the Score?
Was good at WBA and very solid today. His confidence is building and he could actually become the keeper he has threatened to previously Jimbo Ram and Kathcairns

Sufferingfool
FWIW I think he is gaining confidence from the positivity and support he and the team is getting from the fans it is a world away from pre COVID atmosphere which could be poisonous at times. ramit, Carnero and Carl Sagan 2
uttoxram75
Having Curtis and Jags in front of him must be helping. Its got to be something they work on and discuss in training. He's building a rapport with the fans and knows he's the No1 and needs to step up so hopefully he will continue to grow in confidence. DavesaRam
He did great yesterday. He has always been good with the ball at his feet, but far too often the pass back has been terrible and put him in a tight position where he has to just get rid, instead of try to start a move off. Faffing about at the back, no matter how trendy it seems to be, is costing us. He dealt well with crosses yesterday, and caught the ball more times than he tried to punch it. Part of the improvement maybe feedback from his girlfriend, who apparently often sits in the South Stand, and gets tickets with the away fans when we go on our travels. It is a brilliant thing to do, and with the fans getting behind him, it can only help. Kathcairns

It must help having two of the best centre backs in England in front of him ( sure they are older now but they know what they are doing) DavesaRam

roboto
Careful, people don't like the facts to get in the way of a poor opinion ?. He is our best keeper. He has improved as he's matured and gained more experience, but he will never be fully trusted by some fans due to errors earlier in his career and the odd mistake here and there, which all keepers at this level will make from time to time.
