Dunno which is worse in terms of consequences to be honest!

100% as a player.

As a manager he doesn't have to run around for a living. Although it's probably slightly more embarrassing when he's caught out doing what he looked like he was on the verge of doing.

Wayne Rooney reports photos to Greater Manchester Police - BBC News

"The photos, which were shared widely on social media, appear to show the Derby County manager asleep in a chair with unknown women posing beside him.

It is not known when the images were taken and there is no suggestion Rooney has behaved in any way inappropriately."

Or not then? Unless that means time of night?

Mate, there's been quite a few updates since then.

I don't think the question of when it happened is really in doubt now.

Least he didn’t get in the ring.

News and Star agree:

Quote

It is rumoured the pictures - which have been widely circulated on social media - were taken at the Staycity Apartments in Manchester on Saturday night. No comment has been issued by Rooney, who is a married father of four, at this time. He has however called the police over the pictures. No sexual contact is believed to have taken place between Rooney and any of the women.

Not mincing their words!

A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police said: “We are not aware that this has been reported to police. There is no police involvement at this time.”

More ?? then?

Am not entirely sure what offence has been committed?

Or what offence Rooney thinks has been committed. Sounds like postering from Rooney to save face (or more accurately arse)

Mailonline:

"MailOnline understands the images were taken last night, on the first weekend that nightclubs in England were allowed to open in more than 15 months due to lockdown restrictions imposed during the pandemic. There is no suggestion of any wrongdoing on Rooney's part.

It is understood that Greater Manchester Police have launched an investigation after Rooney's lawyers made a complaint. Though his legal team would not confirm what complaint was made, it is understood that the former England star fears he has been 'set up'.

It’s all BS with these people.

Its just the lawyer setting down a marker, the only reason they would have to involve the cops is if the rumours of blackmail were true.

Otherwise there’s no law been broken.

Still not sure what offence if any has been committed Roy.

Dunno how you would even categorise it - photo taken of guy pissed in a chair.

This is likely more media hacks having fun at Rooney / Derby's expense; we're such soft targets. Remember the Covid-positive clown that visited Rooney allegedly with a presentation watch to show him, which put Rooney into isolation last season?

Rooney could do with behaving with more decorum as a public figure and also be mindful of the disruption, disgrace and cost that Derby players contrived not long ago, in their stupid drunken-driving incident.

I've begun to expect little else but public scandal, business ineptitude and zero entertainment from DCFC.

They don't deserve a large loyal fanbase and it's difficult to see any progress at present, the club is up zzhit creek without a paddle.

Seriously considering (after more than 5 decades of S/T loyalty) whether to require a 21/22 refund and postpone visits to PPS for a season (and the 100-mile round trips) if the seat can be deferred for a season....

Shambles.

Publishing photos without permission? Dunno tbh. But I imagine to scare the poo out of the stupid girls?
