......I was watching Forest v Man Utd the other day and I was thinking just how much 'Mull of Kintyre' is working for them down the road. So much better than what we have.

A bunch of Notts numpties singing aboiut a Scottish peninsula is one of the most embarassing things in football - if you like that and know nothing about Derby's history, you may well be going to the wrong ground for your football 'entertainment'.....

Dom Dietrich from Radio Derby tweeted yesterday that John-Jules is going to be around for a couple more weeks, it was shared earlier in this thread. No further decision about his future has been communicated by the club

Warne stated in his post-match interview that they want to keep him but it's down to others at the club to negotiate with Arsenal....

  3. Aside from unconditional love, time is the most precious thing you can give to your child - give her your attention; talk to her; explain things to her (help her to be curious about the world); read to her (we started reading before bedtime at approx 6 months old - they may not understand what you're saying, but the routine and the fact that the child knows you're focused on them is invaluable); put your phone away when you're spending time with her (way too many parents prioritise socal media above their children); and try to avoid getting into arranging activities for her because of the urge to win at 'competitive parenting' - do what you feel is right for your child, not so that you can compare progress with other mums and dads....

I liked the drag back from Kane Wilson which got him facing forward, from where he delivered the pass for James Collins to score the third.

I've thought he looks a bit aimless with his running with the ball and too inclined to turn and go backwards, but that was good play....👍

Even better that it was their annoying No 6 that he made look stupid - the bloke was a complete and utter twit all evening….

I wouldn't describe his achievements as remarkable, they got promoted as a result of some questionable decisions in the play off final, then he had massive budget to spend on the team when they got promoted. He's done okay, but not remarkable.

Give the man some credit. They were a bottom of the Championship basket case when he took over - now they're a (severly indebted) heading back towards the Championship basket case - that's progress of a sort.....

Really enjoying the second series of Vigil on the BBC

It is enjoyable - as long as you accept that they whole thing is a load of absolute bobbins - so many plot holes and unbelievable situatiions that I found myself actively looking for things that simply wouldn't/couldn't happen in real life. First series had a vaguely believable plot line that kept it all together - series 2 seem like an excuse to make another series (this time with a few months on location) rather than becuse they had a story to tell.....

  7. I couldn’t really argue with any of the yellow cards, though she didn’t help herself by being so keen to book Sibs early on which set the tone - my issue was her refusal to clamp down on the diving/rolling around as if you’ve been shot/simulation that Wycombe were guilty of all game - their number 10 clearly simulated a foul right in front of the linesman to try and get Sibley sent off yet there was no action until Collins took offence at the cheat - and then she booked them both for handbags….Taylor collapsed to the ground at one point clutching his head trying to get Cash sent off - if it was an elbow (it wasn’t), Cash should have been sent off, if she thought it was simulation, she should have booked the red dog….. and she should certainly issue a card when he ignored her instructions to leave via the nearest byline….

They should bring back the ‘eye roll’ emoji.

Bring back the face palm - far less contronational way of telling someone they're talking out of their aardvark than having to compose a response to their gibberish....

I think the biggest issue is the lack of puns - inserting a a good stiff pun every now and again would certainly help to lubricate the intercourse....
