Before I venture forth to discuss further the topic of millinery, to which you refer, may I be so bold as to enquire upon the possibility of whether your avatar is in fact a personal and accurate physical depiction of your real life good self?

One is enquiring on behalf of one's intimate companion.

I’m afraid not - it’s been many years since I sported hair of a similar length to the late, great Mr Zappa (didn’t stop one poster from sending me a PM calling me a ‘long haired nonce’ after i suggested in a post that he needed to chill for his own wellbeing though! 🤣)

  2. I’ve been very much on the fence with regards to Warne. I hate the chopping and changing and really wanted him to succeed. I keep hoping that we’re turning a corner but yesterday was yet another awful performance only rescued by NML - without him we’d have been praying for a 0-0 bore draw…. And then to hear the obnoxious manager being interviewed on RD and patronising Dom about the formation “we changed the formation in the second half and if you didn’t notice that, you don’t get football” was disgraceful. We may make the playoffs, we’re might even scrape automatics if we can put a solid run together, but I’m finished with the bloke and his stupid hats - sooner he’s gone the better…..

I can’t say I was particularly impressed yesterday. Wildsmith, Nelson, Cashin and NML did well but the rest were pretty ‘meh’.

I don’t understand playing Smith in an attacking midfield role - just play Sibley or Fornah there as they are far more mobile, as was demonstrated.

I thought their number 6 looked a far better midfielder than any of ours. As for putting Bradley on, it’s getting tiresome and never works - it just hands impetus to the opposition and normally results in a goal! Not a fan.

Lovely round of applause for B4. Well done all.

The opposition midfielder looking better than any of ours is becoming a common theme - too often we surrender the area due to Warne’s ‘get it out wide at all costs’ tactics. I’m pleased you worked out where Korey was playing yesterday - I hadn’t got a clue who should have been doing what - and it seemed a lot of the players were equally as confused…..

The question to ask yourself is this... Would you consider joining Truth Social? Would you consider joining Parler?

If your answer is "no way!", then it's time to close your account and leave Twitter, because these days Twitter is just the same.

Do I still have to ask myself the question if I've no idea what Truth Social and Parler are?......

.....I'm sure i don't understand motorsport anymore when Max was allowed to keep his position after turn 1, over taking off the track, forcing another driver driver off the track, leaving the track and gaining an advantage.....was the logic Leclerc was also off track...because max put him there.....and I'm not sure it was a penalty on george either if it was the one where max rammed it up the inside, that struck me as racing incident.....

This is the issue with the stewards (has Karen got some dodgy photos of FIA officials?) - Max only took the lead by going off the track (and thereby forcing another car off) - no argument who was to blame but to give him a paltry 5 second penalty made a mockery of the situation (as was clear from his sarcastic response when the team passed it onto him).

As for the George incident, you have to ask what George could have done differently? - he was already turning into the corner when he was hit by a bellend throwing a car into a gap that wasn't there - it's clear who was ahead when you work out which car lost it's endplate - if George was aware of Max's car (which I doubt), he simply couldn't have left any more room for Max unless he'd gone down the escape road or driven into the wall - quite clearly not his fault yet lost 4 places due to biased decision making from the stewards - imagine the outcry if the two cars had been reveresed and George had tried the same stupid overtake on Max....

  6. A far better race than I was expecting but so many things wrong with the whole event:

    • poor track construction so Sainz lost 10 places on the grid through no fault of his own
    • no support races so the track was completely 'green' and super slippery
    • racing at night with a very low track temerature (contributing massively to the slippery conditions)
    • celebrity obsession - far more than normal (at one point Beckham seen standing in the pits during a pit-stop - how is that considered safe?)
    • Sky constantly pushing how wonderful Vegas is and doing a huge sales pitch at every opportunity
    • the bloody sphere thingummy - so off putting
    • Brundle with his head even further up Max's backside than normal
    • Race Control & the Stewards doing their best impression of VAR - interferring in everything; taking too long to make decisions; and then seemingly giving the wrong penalties....
  7. It's hard to know what to expect in the race - first few laps should be vaguely interesting due to the 'out of position' cars on the grid but I'm hating the ridiculously long straights which will should let the faster cars through with ease once DRS is enabled.

Start may be interesting if Max tries to put Leclerc in the wall (seems to be his standard approach if he feels threatened by the speed of one of the cars off the grid) - though given the season Charlie's been having, I wouldn't blame him for taking Max out if he tries anything too outrageous....the authorities certainly seem to be scared of punishing Max when he's clearly trying to intimidate other drivers....

  8. Understand Everton are appealing the deduction, but it looks like a slam-dunk with little to argue other than they've been penalised while Man City & Chelsea have not...

To be honest, they're in form at the moment and there are some pretty dreadful teams in the bottom half of the PL so getting a deduction this season may not be as catastrophic as it may have been in another season...I can see them escaping relegation fairlt comfortably.

  9. I keep hoping that the past few years have been a nightmare and I'm going to one day wake up to a shiny new world where we're an establlished top half PL team - the longer my dream goes on, the less likely that seems....

We've not learned anything this last 100 years have we, Except that Governments collaborate with each other irrespective of the atrocities some do to other peoples.

I watched a film a few years back about an English engineer who was imprisoned in Russia I think it was 1950/60 ish, Tortured then released to come back home...damned If I can remember the title 🤷‍♂️

Are you thinking of The Courier with Benedict Cumberbatch? (spoiler: real life story of a British salesman persuaded to help get secrets out of Russia during the Cold War - caught and imprisoned then releaased)

Braverman has been unsurprisingly sacked, which is just what she wanted. Another leadership battle in the conservative party is therefore, no doubt, underway, FFS 🙄

That was the suggestion lfrom some political commentators ast week - force Sunak to sack her and then be free to criticise him to the point of triggering a leadership election - though if she thinks anyone vaguely sane would vote for her, she's even more deluded than it first appeared.....
