  1. I think a lot of us were guilty of forgetting how long he’d been out injured before he joined us. At the start of the season he may have been physically up to speed but was nowhere near match fit - which was probably the underlying reason for the mistakes he made in the early games - and cocking up so visibly in front of far bigger crowds than he was used to at Luton probably destroyed his confidence. Credit to him (and Warne for they way he’s managed him back into the team) for overcoming those early set backs and seemingly rebuilding his Derby career….

Liverpool would have won a lot more if City hadn't (allegedly) cheated on 153 occasions over many years! If found guilty I would delete all their results over the years and recalculate the tables. Happens in the Olympics!

But then what happens at the bottom of the table? - cliubs that were previously relegated would be entitled to stay up and so on - and they would all demand huge sums in compensation. It would ripple throughout the whole football pyramid and destroy professional football in this country (and don't forget the Champions League that would also be impacted).

I agree in principle with stripping their titles, but I just can't see a practical way it will happen - the authorities needed to sort this when it first came to light - by letting it slide for so long they've just dug themselves into a deeper hole.....

Any idea why the Sky commentator is calling Nahki Wells Nihki Wells?

Annoying and distracting isn’t it? With that muppet and Hinchcliffe on commentary I’m surprised they get anyone watching their coverage - awful the pair of em….

    Nonsense

Really? - we're a team that's relied on individual bits of brilliance in the main - can hardly remember any games that we've looked like we were properly in control of. An injury or suspension for Collins will be catastrophic with no backup in place and the older players will struggle towards the end of the season due to the school teacher's approach. Let's hope the booble hat can find a suitable out of contract player to bolster the forward line...

Hamilton to Ferrari!?!?! Does this mean he's not impressed with the new, improved Mercedes?

Lewis Hamilton could make a shock move to Ferrari for the 2025 season, BBC Sport understands.

Several sources say claims of links between the seven-time champion and Ferrari should be taken seriously, but a deal is not yet confirmed.

Ferrari want Hamilton to join Charles Leclerc for the 2025 season.

The 39-year-old signed a new two-year deal with Mercedes for 2024 and 2025 last summer but it seems he can leave after one season, should he choose.

In my View we have just shot promotion straight in the foot .

    NO STRIKER AGAIN !!

Im all for Clowes i dont want him spending silly money ( lesson learned )

But for me midfield is terrible i dont agree that hourihane and Bird are what we need . If we are that tight on funds what a missed opportunity , why not sell bird get a fee and his wages off the books and with that get the midfielder in we have got in who i believe is a bit off a tackler what we have been crying out for !! . But also free up wages and money to go for a better striker .

I have always been a Warne fan think he is a grwat bloke doing a good job in still some fairly difficult circumstances but i think he has totally shot us in the foot here for going up , why he couldnt see off loading bird and getting a decent striker in is beyond me . We wont make autos now and i doubt we will win a playoff as derby sides are known for bottling it when the time comes .

Put my tin hat on but its how i feel right now .

Just cant believe we havent got a striker in and we only have one fit that everyone is not convinced about , and neither am i .

Isn’t this an oxymoron? More than he did last season Warne has shown a willingness to change things which has resulted in us collecting more wins and scoring more goals.

He’s perhaps not setting us up in the right way from the off, but I can at least see some reasoning for that with the squad spread so thin due to injuries.

I’ve pretty much come to the conclusion recently that he’s never going to be welcome here by some sections of the support, with people of course welcome to their opinions and plenty offering an explanation for how they feel. As I’ve said before, he’ll leave at some point and I hope at least whoever replaces him proves to be far less a divisive character.

He had the changes lined up after they scored and decided they were still needed even after we equalised - which they obviously were as we were still struggling to exert any control.
My comment regarding stubbornness related to his initial team setup which no one outside the coaching team seems to understand - yet again yesterday (second game in succession) Warne moaned that we didn’t win enough 2nd balls - without acknowledging that it’s normally your players in the middle of the pitch that do that job - and he’d set the team up without anyone playing there…

Honestly some of our fans are genuinely awful. The sense of entitlement some of them have is absolutely staggering.

Yesterday was all about winning. The performance didn't matter. We're absolutely littered with injuries. Booking them off at half time? Who's that helping?

Cheering the captain when he's subbed off?

It's absolutely ridiculous it really is.

Now I'm seeing "Blackett-Taylor hadn't really shown anything yet" he's been here 5 minutes, trained with us twice. I despair I really do.

All I hear is "we aren't good enough, Peterborough are better than us, Bolton are better than us"

Says who? Of course Peterborough were brilliant when they came here. But that was the same Peterborough side we put 4 past on their own ground? Bolton also just scraped past Cheltenham, Bolton lost at Leyton Orient.

Oxford fans watching us that second half at their ground would have thought we were the best team in the league, we were outstanding.

You cannot play well every week.

I’d agree with most of your post but would just say that while “you can’t play well every week”, you can play badly every week and it seems to be becoming a habit. Warne’s anti-football is utterly horrible to watch - and as was shown after he made the substitutions, we do have players that can make a difference if the manager wasn’t so damn stubborn in his approach…

I think everyone at the club knows this squad would struggle in the Championship. In fact, I there isn't a L1 squad which wouldn't. Any side getting promotion this season will make at least 7 signings in the summer, as is always the case for promoted sides.

An even bigger concern is how the manager would cope in the Championship - his lack of tactical acumen would kill us at a higher level. I'm beginning to think that the reason Rotherham got relegated so often after getting proomoted had far more to do with the limitations of the manger than any financial issues.....
