How the ref can make the call having asked Forsyth who was it, stick him in the ref bin. Hope he's been reminded not to give anything when he or his assistants haven't seen it. Crewton Posted November 8, 2022 Share Posted November 8, 2022 That screenshot someone posted from behind which showed the scene just before the incident, with the referee nowhere in sight suggests that the lino saw the shirt pull and advised the ref, but he didn't have the right angle to see that Fozzy was close enough to challenge. The ref, however, must have known that Fozzy was close because he thought it was him who'd committed the foul. It does all point to the ref being overwhelmed by the occasion/crowd/diving barsteward.
