Who was the last player with us for 10 years?

The last long-termer I can remember was Mick Forsyth and that was a 8-year stay.

Keogh and (Georgie) Williams we’re 7 each.

Honestly can’t remember the last player to stay for 10 years! Probably have to go back to the Roy Mac era.

In the modern(ish) era:

Hector - 12 years over 2 stints

Roy Mac - 14 years over 2 stints

Steve Powell - 13 years

Ron Webster - 16 years

Pre-war:

Sammy Crooks - 19 years (legend)

Jack Nicholas - 18 years (presumably when he took up golf…)

  • 9 months later...

Someone get that man a testimonial.

oh, he’s got one, brilliant!

although I do feel like he might be out Jonah, through no fault of his own, he’s like a walking gypsies curse and we’ll probably be world beaters the second he leaves.

be nice if we could achieve a promotion with him though. Get him on for the last minute at Wembley.
