Where do you think we'll finish this season?

Posh doing a Derby 👌👌 -
Eiran Cashin - new contract to 2027

But can he play upfront 👀👀 -
But that’s 3 years of him stagnating with us. He would be no better than he is now, I’d snap your hand off to be a mid table Championship team in that time. I wouldnt say him or Hourihane are the problem in isolation the problem is the balance when they play together as neither can put a tackle in and neither are mobile enough. Hopefully with Adams in there doing the dirty side of the game one or both of them will be relived of the defensive side of the game that neither are capable of doing.

Dwight Gayle - Signed until the end of the season

Plus not a million miles from Stoke if he’s settled there. Though I can’t imagine who could ever settle in Stoke 😂 -
We really need to get this ‘we’re bigger than Bristol’ out our head because currently and for the foreseeable we clearly are not. They are in the division above, about as mid table as you can get with a good mix of a squad with a young highly regarded manager. Granted they’re not the next big thing that will come out the championship but we are present are miles behind them. Bird had stagnated at Derby and probably stayed too long resulting in us receiving a lower fee, 🤔 sounds familiar. Bird was never going to be our Bannan and run games to drag us out the league. He looked average more often than not and had he not come through the academy the feeling would be different. We went through tough times together but the time is right for all parties to move on.

Not pleased to say I called it last week. Very poor from the club.
-
34 so fits the bill perfectly.
-
Not really it just shows a lack of proper research and scouting. There are plenty of gems out there who would be available. It really does make me wonder what our recruitment department has been doing.
-
😂😂😂😂 this is a signing I would expect if we were mid table just getting numbers in to see the season out. Our recruitment plan is and has been woeful.

I’d be amazed if we managed to sign anyone. I think we’ve put all our eggs in the Smith basket and missed out on other players. What worries me massively is we obviously have a very tight budget so signings are key, we sign players like Washington and TJJ who are injury prone so for the most part are unable to make an impact, we stumble on signings like Waggy and Nyambe, let’s face it had Smith, Wilson and Ward stayed fit we wouldn’t have signed him. In our position it is key we sign players who can stay fit and are able to contribute. We can’t carry anyone. We’ve done well up until Fozzy and Nyambe were unavailable. We are coping without Waggy, Washington, Smith, TJJ who are injured and Fornah, Ward and Elder who have struggle for minutes when fit. That is 7 players whose wages could have been put to better use. I’d rather have 3 players who are available 9 times out of 10 than 7 bit part players. If we’re being honest our recruitment just hasn’t been a good fit for our purpose. We are 1 injury (Collo) short of the wheels coming off and struggling to make play offs when at the start of Jan we were looking at a top 2 finish. It’s just very very poor in my eyes and shows lack of a plan. All teams must budget and have a plan for Jan and what they will need depending on how the season is going. Is on the other hand will either sign someone as a last resort, a player who isn’t match fit or someone that no one else wants.
-
With Collo as with all strikers it is about service, at times this season we could have Kane, Mbappe and Haaland up top and they wouldn't score. What I like about him is he scores all types of goals, I just wish at times he would stay more central and not run the channels as much. He is having a great season and fair play to him. Many wanted him replaced but he's currently the only striker left standing, literally, which is a credit to him.
-
Really? I don’t think I’ve ever seen him run a game. I really don’t know what type of midfielder he is. Not a DM but also not creative or progressive enough to play further forward.
-
😂 the balance isn’t right, Stevie Wonder could see it, it’s that obvious. CH doesn’t have the legs anymore so needs someone to do that side for him if he’s in the team. Bird doesn’t have the positional awareness. I don’t think there’s been a game this season where we’ve dominated midfield. I hoped Fornah would offer the solution but hasn’t done enough. Offload Bird, Ward, Fornah and Smith and sign a decent midfielder and a striker. If, and it’s a big if, we can get anyone to take them. In reality we’ll put all our eggs in signing Smith and end up with no one.
-
Him and CH just don’t work and we’ve known this since day dot. If we get an offer for Bird that enables us to bring in a more mobile, combative midfielder then move him on. 1 good game in 10 isn’t good enough. Even today he was poor first half and marginally better second if you take away the goal.
-
I don’t think we can afford the luxury of chancing it. We need at least one striker in. We were 1 short before TJJ got injured and we let Brown leave.
-
Ryan Nyambe - Signed Until Jan 2024, Extended to 2025
ollycutts1982 replied to Caerphilly Ram's topic in Transfer Forum
In which case let’s have him back. -
No urgency, no bite in midfield, terrible terrible performance. 1 point out of these last 2 games isn’t good enough. Cash in on Bird and get some damn legs in that midfield and someone who can receive the balL on the half turn. Or………………. Just absolute 💩

We signed Washington when he wasn't 100% and that turned out fine 😬 -

That would be very unprofessional of him. I’m not saying it wouldn’t be the case but very unlikely. -
Get in Charlton. Alfie May. Best player we never signed.
