Let's be honest, Kirchner walked away because of 1 person, according to him. Gibson made reference to everyone taking a hair cut, except for 1 person.  And now Nixon is suggesting Ashley is interested but 1 person needs to lower their demands for this to happen. 1 person got us into this mess and 1 person is now standing in the way and his mates at Q at blaming everyone else for the day except him..who is this person I hear you ask...

So, Ashley speaks to Gibson and says, how much are you looking for? Gibson tells him how much. Ashley says I'm bidding for dcfc so you drop your claim officially and I will offer Mel morris less for the stadium and tie in the administrators for less just as per your open letter then I'll settle our agreement with you privately....... Too devious?

Might be close to how it is…Mel drops the stadium price by 10 mill which ends up in the make believe fund….

The absolute clown show that is the EFL would be at its absolute peak if they allowed us to liquidate and then start again in League Two. Talk about wanting their cake and eating it too.

I would hazard a guess that Derby County have been on TV significantly more so than any other team in the Championship this year? It seems like we've been on TV for roughly a third of our games. We are a cash cow to them and they're willing to throw their entire league structure so that they can guarantee we would be a league club and they can continue to milk us?

It's obviously good for us, honestly if it's a case of League One with a ton of debt and potential point deductions in the future due to the administration process or liquidation and a start again in League Two with a clean slate then obviously the latter makes a ton more sense. I just find it laughable how badly they're trying to screw us, now they're worried we could go bust they're wanting to protect their own investment. Rancid.

Have I missed something, other than Nixon’s comments, but where has the EFL given any indication that worst case we won’t go lower than D2 if we are liquidated? They won’t have I am sure, and they won’t even consider such an option until everything else has been exhausted and liquidation is the only step left.

Tbf isn't everyone overreacting? We have 1 registered bid, hopefully with another 1 or 2 in the next few days. Admin will then determine best in terms ability to pay creditors. Beanies are proposing Mel keeping ground (at the mo) and deal with spurious claims at a later date.

Can't see why everyone so twitchy

I presumed it's along the lines of how the Govt work nowadays. Put out a plan to see the reaction and then adjust accordingly.

As soon as there were talks of 'pragmatic' solutions you could see the settlement solutions being worked out. Just pay the weasels at Boro and Wycombe a 25% they suggest?

Surely if HMRC were to reject the deal then there wouldn’t be any “further down the line”. The deal would be dead as it needs to be accepted by a sufficient percentage of creditors.

No, a restucturing arrangment could force them to accept it if the offer is better for them than liquidation. But that needs court approval. It really doesnt help Gibson digging his oar in.

All true but they don’t want the obvious criticism that’s flowing about everything they do or don’t do either from the politicians or high profile media or standard normal football followers but this is their mess and they own it. Obviously I mean the handling and the direction everything has taken because of their sheer incompetence in my humble opinion.

Are you sure? Not my specialist subject but a Google search came back with these:

“A scheme requires approval by at least 75% in value of each class of the members or creditors who vote on the scheme”

Also, why would they object if the alternative is liquidation and why could it be problem “further down the line” if they have to accept it?

Ah. Thanks Roy, but you could have saved yourself 52 words and just said ‘I presumed’ ? ?
