Anon
Newcastle fans really get on my wick. I'm not claiming Bruce was particularly good for them, but it's the juxtaposition in their attitude to him and Benitez that I find utterly ridiculous. Benitez had a blindingly average record with them, only doing marginally better than Bruce, yet they worship the ground he walks on. That has nothing to do with football and everything to do with Benitez being a willing conduit for their incessant whinging about Mike Ashley. Malty
The way the Newcastle fans have treated Steve Bruce has been truly awful. Steve Bruce is a big fan of the club and it’s his dream job and yet the geordies have been treating him terribly. I am glad for him that he doesn’t have to put up with it any longer. Pearl Ram
Maybe they weren’t but Newcastle is to Bruce what Chelsea is to Lampard and I think most managers would leave a club for the opportunity to manage “their” club.
Van der MoodHoover
I think they might need to consider giving the fat swindler a contract to the end of the season just to keep them up, then bring in the guy they really want...... ? Van der MoodHoover
Unai Emery currently favourite to be the next manager. Call me a miserable old MoodHoover but hardly screams signature appointment to me. Only looks slightly less odd than Amanda Staveley.... ?

tinman
Emery turning them down as he doesn’t think they know what’s they’re doing right now. so they’re going for second choice Eddie Howe. At least he’s used to being bank rolled through the leagues.
