Am I right in thinking that with the 3 years of revised accounts & the 2 years yet to be submitted we will have 3x 3yr rolling periods to have to pass p&s?

2016-2018

2017-2019

2018-2020

They only asked for 3 year worth mate that's it.

With regards Pearces comments on the stadium extra money...

My reading of this is that 30m of the stadium sale was allocated to a 'profit & loss reserve' which appears to not count to p&s but seems like it actually can so we can potentially include that now on these revised accounts....as the money was present at that time

The section within the IDC report regards our embargos wasnt the best read. Shows that it isnt just because of us not submitting our accounts but also due to not paying wages (which we knew about) but also not paying other clubs transfer installments & money owed to the HMRC which is where the story a while back clearly came from.

Yes, agree. I spotted that too. Not paying on time isn’t great. Wouldn’t be surprised if some of the lack of support from other clubs isn’t due to that.
“You’ve found a loophole?”  Grudging respect.

“You’ve found a loophole, you’re better off as a result, and still you’re stiffing us????”  To55ers!

The EFL deserve circumcising! ?

The devil will be in the detail of this, if it’s true. For example does it mean that the value of a ground could never go up (to have a profit you have to have an initial valuation and a higher sales price). That would be daft. It’s saying that PP and every other football ground can only be worth what they were worth on July 1st 2021, even in 100 years time. What happens if you want to build a new ground?

If it’s actually meaning that the income from sales of football grounds can’t be included in p and s calculations that’s very different.

I would guess the club will say "covid times hit us hard, like everyone else and we got shafted by this takeover that wasn't." Which is pretty much true.

But unpaid bills never get you any goodwill.

Do you know they're still unpaid? Again perhaps relating to the payments that were to be covered by the new owners at the same time as the wages & tax didn't get paid?

From the Derby Telegraph tonight:

EFL decision and what it means for Derby County's transfer embargo and signing players

The Rams are currently operating under a transfer embargo

BySteve Nicholson

22:26, 2 JUL 2021UPDATED22:29, 2 JUL 2021

Derby County's transfer embargo remains in place despite the decision by the EFL not to appeal the verdict handed down to the Rams by an independent disciplinary panel last week.

The Rams were fined £100,000 and ordered to resubmit three years of accounts for 2016, 2017 and 2018.

There was no mention of a points' deduction at the time but that remained a possibility as the EFL had the right to appeal, as did the club.

Furthermore, the EFL said it had developed an interchangeable fixture list for next season for Derby and Wycombe Wanderers, while the disciplinary process is finalised. Wycombe were relegated on the final day of last season while Derby survived, finishing one point and one place above Wycombe.

But a statement released by the EFL on Friday said they remained "disappointed" with the decision of the independent disciplinary commission that fined Derby, but had "regrettably determined that there are insufficient grounds to appeal the sanction".

Derby are under embargo for the non-submission of accounts and resubmitting the three years of accounts cannot happen overnight, but the club and the EFL are looking to work together to resolve the matter and find a way to move forwards, DerbyshireLive understands.

It’s just for P&S purposes. It’s still an asset and will have a value on the balance sheet, just can’t sell it and use the profit in P&S calculations.

Hopefully we can now move on however we have exhausted every avenue to obtain promotion, we can't throw money at it, look at the players gone in the last 2 seasons with no fee, we will be relying on loans and cheep fees and maybe selling rising stars to get us out of this hole for another year or two but at least we can start in the championship and see we're these youngsters after last year can take us.

Of course, the real tradgedy in all this, is that we now won't be able to see this resolved by single combat between Colin Gibson, the black and white knight and champion of Sir Morris, and Steve Gibson of the toupe, the champion of the smoggy wastelands.

I'd go Running Man style. I can the toupee in this get up.

Been taking some time off, but got sent a text by a mate to a topic where Mr Poppadom having a right old tantrum over on OTIB.

I mean he’s talking mostly to himself, which is kinda understandable.

There is a man that hasn’t been touched by a woman in a very long time. Can we setup some kind of gofundme and help the guy out?

Actually feeling genuinely sorry for him.
