Not seen it, and no idea about the whys and wherefores, but unlike a peno shoot out, which has it's its own specific rules of course, surely a penalty under these circumstances has to continue until the ball is dead, or at the very least in the safe grip of the keeper's hands? ?‍♂️

Sounds messy though, either way!

It doesn’t bode well that the Championship’s best team from last season is getting absolutely battered in the Premier League.

It’s also worrying to see how easy it is for the likes of Norwich, West Brom, Fulham and Watford to bounce back at the first attempt.

Leeds are also struggling big time despite walking the Championship the other year.

It’s time for a PL2. Cut the Championship to 20 teams, create a better deal which gives clubs more money and watch the teams flourish.

English football is broken when so many Championship clubs are in debt while the gap between the top two leagues is this big.

Will Norwich fail to reach 11 points? Most unlikely but they will if they carry on as they are?

Well, big losses like that are where the confidence disappears. We were making a fist of it at first, but when you start assuming you’re going to lose 6-0 every week, you inevitably stop putting the effort in, and it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

That they've only scored 2 in 9 league games (1 a penalty, both Pukki) has got to be worrying.

Carry on at that rate and they'd end up with about 9 goals all season. (We got a whopping 20!)

Only way Norwich will beat our record is if they sacked the manager and replaced him with somebody worse.

Sell their best players in January and replace them with worse.

Endure a terrible run of bad luck with last-minute goals against.

Oh and for VAR to stop working.

If VAR was around in 2007-08 we would have reached Sunderland’s record of 15 points easily.

I will add though that Norwich’s best XI now is worse than the last time they were up there. Owners have really just accepted relegation from the off selling Buendia.

But isn’t that the point. They’ve already accepted it. It’s part of the business plan. So they have no reason to sack the manager, or but any new players. No reason tj even try to improve. Clearly the manager and players they have now aren’t good enough for anything, and they’re not going ti get any better. Eventually they’ll go into every game assuming they’ll lose.

at least we made a fist of having some pride, and started the season with some good intentions of trying to stay up. We sacked Billy and bought some players in January. They turned out to be shut, but they were bought with the intention of scraping a few more points. Jewell always says a mistake he made was buying those players with the intention of trying to play for pride and get a few extra points on the board, when really he should have just bought for next season. It wouldn’t have helped our score, but it would have better prepared us for the following season.

Norwich have already accepted relegation. I wonder how much they ownership care about how many points they get. Or are they just interested in getting themselves ready for walking all over the championship with more parachute payments next season?

I don't understand the need for a PL2, if there is a better deal available then surely the EFL should be getting it?
