Oops, knew I had missed one out.

And great point. Watching Hourihane in the middle of the park just booting the ball in the direction is infuriating when Fornah is sat on the bench.

I have only seen the highlights so really in no position to comment, but I think the soft underbelly comment more likely further deflection by Warne (but accept I am well beyond the point of giving him the benefit of the doubt). He and Barker have a method of play. One method. I don’t think it is how a number of our players want to play, or are suited to play. Fornah is apparently much more of a scrapper, second ball, type of player. Why therefore is he not giving him more minutes?

Why ask for a friend? Ask for yourself and then we can get your opinion on his signings.

Vickers - Not seen enough of but well when he's come in

Ward - Looked decent pre season/start of season. Injured since

Nyambe - Excellent value for money

    Wilson - Looks decent

Nelson - Slow start, looks solid now

Bradley - Poor start, not seen enough of since but looks error prone

Elder - Injured, not seen enough of

Waghorn - In and out. Ok for this level.

Washington - Not seen enough of but doesn't look like he will pull up any trees

John Jules - Injured, not seen enough of

    There's my assessment. Your turn

What about Fornah? Unsure why, if we did have a soft underbelly yesterday, he didn’t give this lad some minutes? It was his one and only midfield signing.

Agree with the sentiment but he can’t just be immune from any criticism because he bought us. It was his decision to chop Rosenior and bring in Warne after all.

I agree. Criticism and an assessment of his decisions is fine. It might actually help him (should he ever want to venture on to a message board). I was calling out those who were slating him, with one poster even suggesting he should go (too).

PW should never have been appointed in my view, but I can understand the logic of the decision. 15 months on it looks a poor decision, but who amongst us hasn’t made a few logical, but ultimately poor decisions in our lifetime.

I wonder if he is sitting at the breakfast table this morning wondering why he didn’t just retain his season ticket. I bet his Mrs is.

I mean I'm not a Warne fan but Christ, a bit of positivity is needed today 😁

Whilst I agree, how many honestly feel absolutely positive we will get a win today. God we need it, but we really haven’t got any good reason to expect it. We need to get a few successive victories for me to start feeling positive.

  5. I love rallying matchday threads.

Was speaking to my 31yo lad on the phone last night, and he was laughing at me talking about my hopes for the Stevenage game. Hoping we might get 3 points to follow up on our Exeter victory. When I told him Northampton were up next I am sure he fell off his chair. He said he hadn’t realised how far we had fallen until he heard me saying how beating Stevenage could be a statement result. We dwelt on it for a while, both had a good laugh, I called him a Bamford, and then said our goodnights. The mighty have indeed fallen.

I thought the thread was about Ritchie Barker

You changed it to me complaining about the manager I thought.

As for Barker, he doesn’t strike me as being very good either, but perhaps nobody has properly defined his role?

Well yeah, if you're saying someone is overpaid for the job that he is doing then it would be nice to qualify if by saying how much he is paid, not sure what the problem with that is?

Of course if you just don't like the job that he is doing you could always just leave it at that rather than throwing other things, that you probably have no idea about, to try and make your point sound better?

If its a chore coming on here then I'd suggest not coming on? You've certainly not found it a chore to come on and complain about the manager quite regularly...

How much is quite regularly? Can you quantify that for me? Of course if you don’t like me coming on here complaining about our manager, just say it and leave it at that, rather than throwing other (vague) things into the mix.

    Quite regularly. Pfft.

  8. I haven’t heard the interview, and frankly can’t be bothered to listen to it. I respect however @ziggazagga’s opinions, and he is fully entitled to make them. He and his son are paying good money to watch what has been a piss poor show since March. I am glad Barker (and Warne, and Mendez Laing), are hearing the noise, and might raise their games accordingly. One win against an ordinary Exeter side is nothing to get too carried away with, although the victory was welcomed. Let’s get a run of wins under our belt and then that would be the time for Barker to respond to the expectations of fans.

Formation ? Set up ? Don’t think it comes into it tonight , warne has to pick what he feels is his best eleven and send them out to batter them from the first whistle to the last and the instruction no matter what just ducking win and the players need to really want to do that for him ,they are good enough to sort it out once over the white line ,,,, sometimes needs must and it’s that simple , we see lesser players do that to us all too often 🤷🏻‍♂️

Are you suggesting that Warne doesn’t normally send out what he feels to be his best 11, and that the players haven’t been fighting at their best for their manager this season?

I was Warne in right until this last few games. We're just not seeing any improvement against teams who are happy to keep the game tight and make it a physical encounter. Until we can roll these teams over we're going nowhere.

44 points from the last 31 games in Division 3 (since 1 Feb) is unacceptable for this club.

You are a bellwether 😉 l saw a few very pro-Warne posters turning yesterday but you currently top my defection list. We are at a tipping point, and only a few successive wins now I think can save Warne. He probably knows it too.
