The Bradley substitution was to alter the formation and try and push the wide players further forward. It was an attacking change involving a defensive player. It was not a direct affront to Weston and his personal development as a player.

Lol. All them wide crosses in the second half were having no success at all. So what do we do different. Nothing, other than increase the number of loads in from the wings. Paul Warne is the General Haig of EFL Division One.

  2. Posted for balance.

Labour divisions deepen over Gaza ceasefire stance

Sir Keir Starmer is attempting to put Labour's position on the Israel-Hamas conflict to a vote, in a bid to maintain party unity.

The party has tabled a Commons amendment reflecting concerns over the civilian death toll, and urging longer pauses in the fighting to deliver aid.

But it echoes the Labour leader's position, and stops short of urging an immediate ceasefire in the conflict.

Dozens of Labour MPs have defied their leader to call for a ceasefire.

And 19 members of the frontbench have also publicly diverged from their party's official position.

One of them, shadow minister Imran Hussain, quit his position last week in order to campaign for an immediate ceasefire.

In addition, nearly 50 councillors have resigned from the party, over the leadership's position on the war.

Sir Keir has argued that a ceasefire would not be appropriate, because it would freeze the conflict and embolden Hamas.

  3. A good captain on the field is hugely important. This is not hindsight as I said it at the time; it was weak of Warne not to pick his leader on the field. My guess is that he invested heavily in Bradley as his leader, but soon realised he wasn’t the playing force he thought he was (duff purchase). He clearly didn’t fancy Bird or thought he was going, but didn’t in my opinion want to demote him. So he abdicated responsibility and accountability to the players. I can see why the players picked Hourihane, as there were limited options. However, I am not convinced Hourihane is sold on Warne’s way of playing, so that is far from ideal too. Dog’s breakfast really, which is very disappointing.

  4. Didn’t see the game. Really unsure though why a couple of youngsters were not started tonight. Freshen it up a bit - give a few players a bit more experience, give a few players a rest after Saturday.  That Fapetu was the only one to get on the pitch, for the last 10 minutes, is very disappointing. To bring Bradley on also seems criminal to me. At 3-1 down, in fact early in the second half, wasn’t Weston worth an another try upfront alongside Collins?  I can’t lose any sleep us going out of the Cup tonight, but I had hoped for something out of tonight. A plus point or two, after two successive leagues wins. Pretty deflating being a Ram at the moment.

Oh my goodness, what a response!

Hello everyone, I’m Claire, Daniel’s (B4) sister. I am overwhelmed by your kind words, support, and the memories you have shared.  Thank you so much for the kindness and love you have all shown to Daniel over the years. My parents are working their way through all of the posts and will offer their own thanks in due course.

I wish I knew about the scraves, flanges and ballions before now. I wouldn’t have let Daniel live that down at home. This made my husband and I laugh this morning.

I will be wearing Daniel’s shirt and keeping his seat warm at the Bristol match. Really looking forward to hearing a big cheer and round of applause in the 38th minute, a goal at the time would be perfect!  Do please continue to share the picture with details of the applause. Let’s raise the roof for Daniel!!!

    Thank you all again ❤️

Enjoy the game and commemoration Claire. I shouldn’t worry about keeping his seat warm though He rarely sat on it 🐏.  Condolences to all your family. We share your love and pain.

  6. I still, and probably always will, struggle with Warne. I am of course pleased we have had two good league wins in a row, and that we are now on the edge of the playoffs, but it has been a disjointed affair season to date. Hopefully we will continue to gain ground on Pompey and Oxford as we reach the turn of the year, playing football which involves our midfield rather than hitting it hopefully down the channels. Neither of those teams have better squads than ours imho and I am frustrated that we are some distance behind them. Anything less than automatic promotion will be a failure this season (given the strength of the league) and I am concerned whether we might be able to hold onto Cashin and Bird in January. Victories against the Gas and Vale would be wonderful. COYR!!

Saw Public Service Broadcasting and Django Django over the weekend - two extremely talented bands, at the top of their game.

Up and coming bands seen recently include Do Nothing, Life, Legss, Just Mustard, English Teacher, L’Objectif, Bar Italia, Cucumaras and (tonight) Egyptian Blue. Post-punk and indie is alive and kicking.

Also saw Geese a few weeks back. Another band well worth seeing when they are next on these shores.

If Clowes put Warne into a contract he couldn’t afford to pay off under the terms of any business plan if it went tits up, then he’s a bigger moron than any of us think he is for just not sacking him.

Are you saying Clowes is a moron because he hasn’t sacked Warne yet?

I am grateful for him stepping in for his company to buy the club. I think the time has come for him to sell at least a controlling share to bring in new investment. In football terms he hasn’t made good decisions and is holding the club back. In long or even medium term, fans rarely make good owners, that has certainly been the case at Derby.
The potential of the club is a great opportunity for investors to get a good return, particularly if we can get back to the Premier. I would hope that feelers are being put out for potential buyers / investors. I doubt it though, but if that was the case, we may as well hang on to our inept manager & his coaching team until a new owner gets shot if them.

Can you give me a bit more detail so I can understand your point.
