Thompson and Sibley and Elder coming on for Foz, Barks and Hourihane. Same formation but with fresher legs.

Fair play to Warne. We were second best most of that first half. Hopefully some fresh legs will adjust the current imbalance in midfield.

Sell no one. Keep Cashin and Bird and yes, Louie too. Keep our top academy prospects, keep Nelson, Nyambe, Wilson, NML, don't release any key players, save for silly money. It's high time our enforced reputation as a selling club, who pays through the nose and is prone to throwing out the baby is consigned to history. From here on, we build. And for what it's worth, £4 mill for Cash isn't anywhere near silly enough, unless Brighton want to give us a fat split (like 40%fat), when they sell him on for 3 times that in a year or two's time.

Exercise the added year options, get ourselves promoted, sit down and thank them with all our hearts, THEN sit down and discuss their future. We get promoted and Cash is worth £7.5 straight off the bat and I don't doubt that he'll help ensure the club gets max value for him, a la Jude Bellingham if you like, though on a less grand scale, obviously. I love the fact that Max and Eiran have stood behind the club through thick and thin, with in my view, lesser talents scurrying off at the first available opportunity. I don't want another Jason Knight where we see a top talent effectively horse-traded. He pretty much had to be sold, but with us exiting the agreed business plan this summer and on the brink of the autos, are we still compelled to offload players who can prosper in the Championship? Hell no! Might be harnessing the spirit of @B4ev6is here, but this is how I see it right now and I've a hunch, Mr Clowes does too.

Happy new year Comrade. Hope you had a good night. Now get yerself off to bed. There is a game in 6 hours.

Very much seemed like a unified defensive effort to me.

Are you softening on Warne like I am?

Merry Christmas Nick.  I hope a good 2024 lies ahead.

I am still not a fan of Warne, and I don’t think I will ever be. He’s just not my cup of tea personality wise, which is hardly important, but his style of football really does not appeal at all. I don’t think he can evolve from the way he likes to play/coach, which will not suit the top 2 divisions where I want to see us be competitive. I have been consistent over the last 15 months saying he will get us up, and this season he should walk if he doesn’t get us promoted one way or another. We have good players, and he has had good financial backing, to compete successfully in a very poor league. @angieram and you would get us up this season in my opinion.

I post less on the subject because I was boring myself, let alone others. The main thing is that the Rams go up this season, and I am 100% behind the players, including Collins who gets far too much stick on here at times.

    COY beautiful Rams!

Respect to a fellow Hotpotter. I was only listening to their first Christmas album the other day.

Back to the topic, I work in Notts with a few Forest fans who are absolutely gutted *smirks*. The consensus is that appointing Nuno could either go really well or backfire spectacularly. He's got to hit the ground running or the locals will very quickly get on his back.

What is this Hot Potter business? The urban dictionary says a hot potter is a women who covers her boobs in cling film and then you take a dump on her boobs 👀. Is this a Nottingham thing? Down here on the south coast we use cling film to wrap our sandwiches. And we have a toilet (with a door) when we wish to deficate.

  5. I quite enjoy illusion. Derren Brown and Dynamo both currently have 2 hour episodes on Sky. Both very good. The Dynamo back story, and his guest’s insights into their mental health issues and positive psychology techniques, is really interesting.

So the Mrs is soon to pop (19th Feb she's due) and there's absolutely nothing out there for dads to be.

It's still not hit me properly yet somehow, and at the grand old age of 36 I'm a late bloomer. I've got nephews and godaughters but never thought I'd finally have a family of my own and am bricking it.

Ive looked at everything I can but the majority of things tell dad's to clean (I'm an ocd cleaner) or be prepared for changing nappies (I work in care). So I was wondering if anyone can give any proper advice on being a dad.

I've looked on dadsnet which was depressing and mumsnet (but obviously that's targeted mainly for women) so thought I'd post it on my dcfc family forum.

Her name will be Eva Christine Marshall and she will be a ram!

Thank you all for your advice in advance

Well this will be at least an 18 year thread, and probably more. My lad is 31 and tonight I have had to help him with an emotional break-up. My best advice is to prepare Eva as best you can to be able to hit adulthood confidently. Parenting isn’t easy, but it can be so very rewarding.  Good luck on your new journey.
