Wolves specifically calling out Warne and the Derby environment for why they chose for him to come here…

Awkward.

Very complimentary about the club and Warne. Nice to read and interesting to hear directly from a PL side as to what they look for when considering a loan, dispels some of the myths.

Have to same I’m quite excited by this - will probably need a bit of time to settle in but looks to have some quality which is what we need !

Think someone has already said it but a bit of X factor. We have pace out wide but they’re more just one move and go. This guy looks like he has an extra trick up his sleeve and can operate in tighter spaces.

This was an interesting read. Wouldn't mind the club doing something similar with our loan players.

Cheers for sharing 👍

“We had a few inquiries for him, but we were looking for specific things. We certainly like the pressure of the Championship. We like the pressure of a big club, which you get at Derby.

We really like the manager as well, he had ‘Gilo’ [Ryan Giles] before at Rotherham and we liked the way he looked after a young player there. So, it fits for Tawanda to go back under that tutelage, and we just think it's a place he can go and express himself and get a lot of game time. It's tough to play for our first-team here, but it's tough to play for Derby's first-team as well. He's going to have to really have his wits about him, both in terms of playing style, but also integrating into the squad and being in an environment that's difficult, with the expectation of a big crowd which really knows its football.”..."

Something, something, Rotherham? 😄

Well it would be weird to say he had someone at another club… that would be a whole different allegation.

Welcome to the club Tawanda!

Kept the name very quiet, with no media links at all before his signing - but this is clearly the attacking midfielder on loan which Warne has been talking about for a while. Can also play on the wing so seems like a Sibley replacement.

Can’t say I know much about him or if he’s any good, but think given our very limited budget we have to be taking gambles like this. Similar to Ozoh, it’s his first really spell of first team football, but he could turn out to be a gem waiting to be unleashed. Rather that than a player who’s been proven to be bang average.

Think this leaves our midfield rebuild almost complete now, though I’d still personally like one more defensive midfielder to provide more cover for Adams, to replace Fornah.
