FA cup

If you look in the "personal world cup" thread, they are the team without Rams links who I most dislike. Very good draw in that they're struggling to stay up so have to prioritize the league. Except Moyes is also struggling to keep his job, so may feel he can't afford to lose to League One Derby or he'll be out.

Guaranteed on the box. Let's also sell out the ground. It's a free hit for us, which is perfect.

Decent game to watch today, enjoyed it and glad we went despite the less than tropical weather.  Glad it is a home draw and will defo go to the game, just would have preferred a bigger PL side than West Ham, but should draw a decent crowd and maybe some tele money…

You really think we can beat West Ham? They’re two divisions above us with a squad worth about 300m. Just saying it’s a good draw because a loss won’t damage team confidence

I go into every game thinking we can win it. Don’t care who were playing, how much they’ve spent or what they’ve don’t in the past.

How much have Sheff Wednesday spent compared to Newcastle?

In terms of league places, not so many.

Would we be favourites? No, but could we beat them? Yes.

We gave a much stronger proposition Liverpool a good go at their place. we should not be wobbly kneed at the prospect of Wet Spam....?

300 million .  Not sure about that one.  They should win of course .  But I recall a Derby team getting tanked by Bristol Rovers at home when we were in a similar spell of miserable form as a premier league club.  Ravanelli, Kinkladze etc made no difference as confidence was on it's arse.  Certainly wouldn't be the giant killing of the ages. But they'll need to start on the front foot for a realistic shot.  Why not though, pressures on them

According to the West Spam site:

"This will be just the second FA Cup meeting between the two clubs, with West Ham defeating Derby 5-2 in the semi-final at Stamford Bridge in March 1923 to secure a place in the first-ever final held at Wembley Stadium."

Denying us a place in the first ever Wembley final is another reason to dislike them!

So what we spent £100,000 ten years ago on a regular full back who been playing centre half - what’s money got to do with it - teams and effort win football matches and we have both - I have always believed we can win any game we are playing since we were champions of England - if we had a manager who didn’t think we could win I would want them out the door immediately for example Clement - Pearson
