Ah yes, but it'll be advertising algorithms that undo you.

Watched a YouTube video review of a motorbike, got targeted Facebook ads for Viagra for a week.

Just a bit disappointed that a Ladies golf tour event is the unavoidable business engagement that has pulled him away from these important negotiations. Realise there will be important slync.io clients there and all that ...

The positive spin would be that he said to his team on Saturday: ok, we will pay up to X in stadium rent, get the LoG and MM in a room agreeing a purchase price and work out how our option on the stadium should be priced. I’ll be back Saturday and want contracts ready for signature.

Think the Council are getting a bit of unfair criticism here. They’re  under no obligation to try and buy the stadium and, as many have said, they’re bound to have a lot more hoops to jump through than a ‘normal’ business, both in terms of securing funding (which they may have already done according to ITKers) and actually spending the money.

They certainly won’t be as quick as a private buyer, not least because of all the legal and scrutiny processes they’ll need to go through (which in most cases people would be happy with as nobody likes Councils spending ‘their’ money without scrutiny). The business case might be holding them up too, because you’d have thought of it were that good then you wouldn’t need the Council to get involved (maybe it’s just too much of a stinker of a deal for anybody to do it, which makes it even less likely the Council would approve a bid… got to get good value for public money by law (I think)).

I’d also have thought that if there are avenues being explored for a private purchase, the Council won’t want to commit to anything anyway. Got to be preferable for it not to involve public money?

I speak from personal experience when I say, there is no way on God's green earth that a council would ever (a) be able to do it (b) have the cash or (c) do anything remotely like this in anything less than 6 months. It was impossible from the word "go" and they know it.

But politically, they would have been slated if they didn't appear to be "looking into it". The best they could ever do is try to persuade someone else.

Didn’t Kirchner’s last tweet suggest he was looking to complete a private purchase of PPS? Which contradicts what he had said before about not wanting to deal with Mel Morris.

anyway looks like PPS is in demand but selling a commercial property quickly isn’t that easy.  Morris has to play ball. But really everyone has to come together and get this over the line.

We know that the ground is owned and leased to the club by Mel, as the club has not been liquidated the terms and term the existing lease may still be in place, does anyone know the term of the current ground lease agreement between Mel and the club?
