Sparkle
What another mess of an EFL statement what does it say - it says the administrators can go to arbitration or go to high court - Go to high court please and quickly EfL are saying they will kick us out of the league if don’t comply with paying the parasites by means of a legal administration procedure kick us out then The EFL are at last trying to organise a meeting between stakeholders (some who are not in administration?) I assume that’s because the politicians are asking why aren’t the EFL doing anything to resolve anything. Middlesbrough apparently started a claim last January whilst no date given for Wycombe (inconsistent) it’s taken the EFL until the 3rd of February 2022 to ask for a meeting to take place - absolutely abysmal leadership Zag zig, Bald Eagle's Barmy Army, r_wilcockson and 8 others 3

Yeah but why would they if they don't have to? It's completely contrary to their mandate of representing the other clubs. The EFL are not fair or independent... I don't think that should come as a surprise.

The EFL have opened the floodgates and some massive claims could arise, which would be enough to bankrupt certain clubs. They don't, but if a clubs in admin they can't defend themselves, so every club might as well sue them for any reason they can think of. If the admin club doesn't pay out, they go extinct. The suing club has nothing to lose. RadioactiveWaste, Indy, strawhillram and 2 others 1 3

It's just that MFC and WW's claims are based on pure fantasy football. If the EFL wants to set this precedent then it is digging its own grave. WharfedaleRam
We need a court injunction to prevent the EFL from carrying out pre-emptive action to kick us out of the league. Then we take the parasites' cases to court and get them shown up for what they are. A PB is immediately aware what the club will cost, debts can be paid, the club comes out of administration and the restrictions are relaxed. In the meantime, the EFL are disbanded and Boro miss out on promotion (again) thus putting them into a significant risk of failing FFP and starting next season on - points. Simples! Now they have seemingly drawn their line in the sand I’ll happily say they are a corrupt as any organisation and can frankly do one because how they are acting is dreadful and needs calling out. This will never be forgotten. Ok, well its taken you a while... on Sunday there were 32k saying what they thought of the EFL..now it's 32,001. Rambalin
Hope and expect the Admins to issue a statement saying they are starting the legal process and have applied to the court has they said they have the right to be given a preferential slot. The EFL I think are counting on them not doing this despite their words r_wilcockson, Indy and IslandExile 1

TuffLuff
Thing is all efforts should now be about saving Derby County. Sorting out financial matters between clubs should be saved uk the club is preserved. That the EFL, Boro and Wycombe are acting like this is absolutely disgusting and shameful, there isn’t any other words to describe it. ilkleyram
Whitley ram
I think this moves things on fairly significantly. Look at it from SGs position. If we go to court he could: A) win a big payout, which is highly unlikely and which may liquidate us. Consequently he gets £0 and potentially gets HMRC pursuing MFC for our unpaid debt. B) win a small payout for lost revenue of a P/O semifinal. More likely but no way guaranteed C) the case gets thrown out and he pays costs and looks a complete tool. From his POV arbitration is the best option as it carries least jeopardy. Admins and bidders know this and consequently know he comes to arbitration with a weakened position. Game theory would indicate that the preferred bidders should collude to bring down the sum offered to SG to a negligible amount as this will be better than court for him. Chances are they wouldn’t collude but they do have coinciding interests ….. Ian Buxton's Bat
