I'm really hoping that this has forced WR's hand and we go with a 343, Joz and Williams at WB either side of Bird and Shinnie,  would have preferred Festy at RWB but I firmly believe this is the best set up for the players we have.

Injuries/absences sometimes lead to top managers finding their best set-ups, Bobby Robson for England in both 86 and 90 was helped with enforced changes, the only way he stopped playing Ray Wilkins in 86 with his incessant passing sideways was when he got a red card.... can't remember what caused the change in 90 but only when he had to go to a 5 and bring our very own Mark Wright into the line up did we kick on there also.... let's hope we see the same today

Forsyth has been rubbish lately but continues to play, while Stearman still can't get a game. 

Fingers crossed Forsyth plays well today because it's something that could come back to bite us on the arse.

With a back 3, Forsyth is the best option at LCB

Possibly, but Knight is the most attacking minded of the three and has the most stamina, so I think he will naturally find himself higher up the pitch and Bird and Shinnie will sit with more lateral movement to cover/support the wingbacks as they get forward.

Theoretically I agree. If he has another stinker though there's a payoff to be had for someone less natural for the role but not in poor form.

That’s what I’d like to see formation wise, anyone know what the EFL stance is on us bringing the young lads off the bench if and when needed? I still can’t make sense of the rules they’ve set for us.
