Lampard did have funds at his disposal and also get some good loan signings in, he wasn't as tied financially as Rooney is. I very much doubt that if Rooney was to go to Everton now he would end up like Lampard did, that's just how i see it. r_wilcockson

jimtastic56
If he does go , it will be down to the EFL. He was in a massive rage over Jags and Shinnie. The prem would give him respect. I think Rosenior would stay till the end of the season at least RadioactiveWaste

Gee SCREAMER !!
The way the media and every hack have immediately started hammering the Rooney to Everton story within minutes, quite frankly, makes me want to vomit. Where have the bankers been for 6 months when there was a real story. jimtastic56, Kathcairns, SaffyRam and 1 other 3

teddyb16
I think Everton will go back for Bobby Brown Shoes. 2m compensation is cheap for a top manager. Rooney said in his interview with Ed Dawes yesterday that they "are building something special here". He is also being advised some wise old folk who will tell him Everton is a poisoned chalice RoyMac5, Rammy03 and Ted McMinn Football Genius

After a very poor start Wayne has done really well for us. If he is offered the opportunity I wouldn’t blame him if he goes. However, he could find himself in the same position as Frank if things don’t work out. He is producing something a bit special here and I hope he now sees it through. Well said. I know your views about Rooney earlier this season and last season. I was aligned with you at the end of last season. Wonder if Jourdan has managed to get himself there yet?
