Would be very surprised if there’s anything in the Bournemouth story given it sounds like the deal was pretty much done on Tuesday, but it does seem very strange we haven’t announced it yet... Generally, but most clubs under an embargo have an inflated squad size. But with a senior squad size of just 18 (players aged over 21), I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't apply to us. The other restrictions [that I can think of] are: Wages - roughly £12k per week, OR 75% of the outgoing player U21 players can be signed but not used in 1st team matches Exceptions can be made with the EFL's permission Of course a soft embargo is lifted once a club shows it will meet P&S requirements. Considering the cuts to the wage bill over the past couple of years we are already safe (excluding Covid impact) which by default means no soft transfer embargo.
