Derby County are working on a deal to beat Bournemouth to the signing of Wigan Athletic goalkeeper David Marshall this summer, Football Insider understands.

Football Insider is a ducking circus.

Multiple national outlets: "Derby are set to sign Marshall"

after, FI: "Bournemouth are targeting Marshall."

a day later, FI: "Derby are trying to sign Marshall first!"

Just, the worst journalism.

Does seem an odd one this.

You’d think if he’d signed they’d have realeased the old holding the shirt in front of the advertising wall straight after the ink was on the contract, then it would be doing the full presser vids and photos this morning/early afternoon.

Yet radio silence...........he was here last night which suggest the deal is pretty much done, if Bournemouth hard hijacked the deal then it probably would have been announced at Bournemouth’s end by now......really strange situation.

Is there any proof that the media team weren't furloughed for the last 5 months? If they were, are they back now? Are there restrictions on what they can say whilst the accounts and tribunal are in play?

Derby's media team are really very good. The social media content over the last few months seems to me to be pretty bare bones, I would imagine they only have 1 or 2 people working atm.

He'll find the cost of his barbeque and everything else will be a lot more expense down there.

A two bed semi is a million quid, one litre of milk £5, and beer is £8 a pint.
