I've seen some say it's reduced away capacity (extra segregation) due to recent crowd troubles. Not sure if it's true or not though.

Chairman Steve Parish added: “Luke is an exceptionally talented young footballer and one we hope will bring a range of attributes to the club in the years to come.
“But first, he has an important role to fulfil playing at Derby, and we appreciate his significance to them in their current circumstances. It is less than 12 years ago that our club was in a similar situation - as a result we were determined to ensure both clubs benefit through this deal. Therefore Luke will return on loan for the remainder of the season and help Derby with their important battles on and off the pitch.
“I look forward to seeing Luke compete in Palace colours soon, and until then enjoy the performances he continues to give for Derby.”
    Fair play Palace.

We ain’t going to league one, two or any further below.

Preferred bidder will be announced in time for us to make 3 signings and by the end of our game against Birmingham we’re going to be just 5 points off safety.

The EFL have done us a favour, they’ve just made Derby county a stronger club, they’ve brought us all together and that means only one thing - going up to the Premier League and as far away from the EFL as possible within the next 2-3 years.
Just imagine the celebrations when we come out of the bottom 3.

Hoping I can speak for the majority of fans when I say the following:
Whoever in their right mind is willing to even consider buying a football club in a poor state, never mind the state that Melvyn Morris left us in, earns my respect completely.
Whether it be the Binnie family, whether it be Appleby and co. Whether it will be Mike Ashley, or whoever else, Thank you.
Thank you for wanting to turn this football club around, get us out the pooper, and allowing us to continue to be a football club.
Whoever takes over, I hope they understand that they will be supported by one of the greatest fanbases in England (And yes, that may be biased, although the support we have shown for this club, throughout the poo that we’ve been through, is genuinely surreal).
I hope that whoever it is who buys us, understands how much this football club means to it’s staff, it’s fans, and it’s local community, and I hope that whatever may happen, that we will have our Derby County to enjoy, to allow us to take our minds out of reality, to allow us that safe space away from demons one may face in the real world, to allow us to be able to rally together, have a bloody good laugh and a good time, and to ultimately support this fantastic, amazing, bloody stressful club.
Come On You Rams. Let’s make ourselves known these next two games, let’s show the world what Derby COUNTY is all about, and what an honour it would be for anyone to own a football club with such appreciative and passionate supporters.

I’ve never known anything in my life where over a course of a week I’ve gone through the emotions of high literally every hour.
From last Friday morning until now (and I imagine another week or so until I know we are safe for the season) it’ll continue and it’s horrible.
Every hour there is a positive story and a negative story. I think we’re safe, I think we’re not. Like many others, I tend to scroll through this thread looking more for embedded articles as they tend to tell me more or get those hopes up or down.
    I hate this.

I was 18 years old in 1970, football mad and went to every home game, and many away matches, which were great days out, usually on the train.
Six of us from Allestree FC went to Newquay in 1970, which was just brilliant - sun, sand, surfing and girls - what a time to be alive, but we all came back on the Friday evening to ensure we got to the Rams vs Man. Utd Watney Cup Final, at the BBG, which we won 4-0.
Memories which cannot be taken back - wonderful days

Lawrence has seemingly matured as a player this year, probably because of the Captain responsibility and because he is now the main creative & attacking outlet. He's a frustrating player no doubt, but I'd also argue that without him this season we'd still be on negative points. I rate him around the box and he's one of a few who can play quick 1-2s, make a decisive flick, and retain the ball in a crowd of players.
Its worth remembering that he's had his off the field issues too and this seems like the first season where he hasn't had personal problems to content with.
If he leaves I'm fairly certain our performances will deteriorate as a result. I guess the question is whether we're better trying to save his wages and recoup a fee to survive or have a better chance of winning games in the second half of the season. I'd warrant a guess that the former is likely to happen if we don't hear back from the administrators on the preferred bidder by end of the week.

The media is desperate for stories/clicks/ratings. Every journo I know would sell their own grandma for a story. They know it's wrong but they can't help themselves. They're the people who've caused this and should be ashamed of themselves because it's a lot more serious than not having enough bogroll to go round. Lives could be lost. How do you stop it? How to install a more mature reporting mentality?
In a way this reminds me of the Double Edged Sword thread in the main DCFC forum. People do stupid things, which we hate and cause problems, but people are social animals rather than rational beings.

What can I say… So disappointed in the hierarchy at DCFC.
As people have said, some of my best days following this club have been in the old 3rd tier.. Different times I know but still great away days.  There are some BIG clubs in League 2, it could be good for us fans.
We are in a mess, we’ve been in a mes before.. Hopefully we can survive and put Morris well behind us.. No more, he’s local, he’s one of our own bollx.. Means nothing, absolutely nothing..
Ive said before, my love for football is declining quickly. Not just because of our situation but the PL, Champions League, money oriented bull poo. It’s not about us anymore, it’s about money. I suppose that is the world nowadays but to be honest, you can keep it.. Players kiss the badge, owners show up when time are good and disappear when it gets tough.. No honesty in pro football now.. It’s all false and I hate it..
I read this forum and feel for those who are starting out, those who it still means a lot to.. Even David, who runs a great forum but still has to make a living from it.. I see the DCFC adds have gone now, I hope it’s not too much of a hit for him. B4, absolutely gutted for him. It’s not the end mate, just a new chapter.. I know you will keep the faith but this is going to hit him hard. It’s not so much the EFLs fault fella (although they have stuck the knife in), it’s Morris, end of.

60 years old and been through most things with this club. I wish I could say I’m numb, I have been through most of his reign but to be honest… I’m absolutely gutted for the staff, the fans, the creditors and anyone else who truly love this poxy club..

    barely anything going forward.
the passing round the back gives me heart palpitations every time, we basically gave birmingham the 3 points tonight.
we need to be more creative, smarter and not pissarse about with the ball.

The reality is that having been man of the match against the Blades, the “Derby way” will be to bench him and give him the final 10 minutes to rescue a point on Saturday, in a match where we don’t have anyone prepared to run at the opposition.
I sincerely hope I am wrong and Sibbo plays the no. 10 role from the start.

I'm normally pessimistic and always think the worst when it comes to the Rams over the last 10 year's. But something just gives me a little gut feeling about our situation.

A feeling that we might surprise a few people this season. I saw a few shoots of positivity in that 2nd half of the cup game, some of our young players are a lot better than some fans give them credit for. Will some of them emerge as hero's come the end of the season ?

Or have I just got out of the right side of the bed this morning?.

I'm not starting sharpening my pitchfork purely on the word of a random person on the internet (no offence intended to anyone)...
But *if* we sell Sibley now for basically nothing, it's probably the most stupid decision we've made as a club since the last time we decided to sell our best young midfielder for a fraction of what he was worth, because an idiot manager decided he didn't want to play him.

They didnt drop much after the signings.  They have dropped much more overnight....i suspect the bookies have got wind of some covid news in the huddersfield camp. I took a punt on backing Derby on Skybet when the odds were 5, suspecting the lay odds might drop once the Huddersfield players had their covid tests. The lay odds on Derby are now 2.74, which means I will get a good profit on my back bet.

Summer always sees lower crowds - its peak holiday time and many will be away especially those like us ahead of both sets of exam results unusually next week, some will be committed to playing cricket for a couple of weeks yet (how dare half fans do something with their time) and surely this year the pingdemic/covid cases/caution will affect numbers a little or a lot. Also unfortunately some will just have got into the habit of doing something else they enjoy more on a Saturday.  Many also cant afford it each week especially if wanting to attend with kids. It is a very expensive day.
However, some of you please stop the superiority if you are lucky enough to be able to go each week. And yes I mean lucky. Many cant do that ever or at certain times of their lives. Doesnt mean "these plastic half fans" dont refresh their phone every 2 seconds waiting for news, get butterflies leading up to the game, feel jittery for every second of every game and be depressed/grumpy when we lose.  season tickets wont work for us this year but we will be there whenever we can home and away and we are not less fans because of it

It is hard to know whether Rooney is doing a good job based on what he has at his disposal or not, but, give him some credit for the way he has handled it. He could have sold out the hierarchy at any point in that interview and he didn't.( I would have spilled the beans completely. ) Not sure if he is sleeping on the couch in order to be on call around the clock or to get away from Colleen but he is stumbling his way round a bad situation with some likability.
Think it is time to back the players and management in the coming weeks by attending matches and being as positive as possible. The fans will be enough as an extra to get the team through this.
    C'mon you Rams

I'm actually feeling a bit more confident at this moment. We may not have the strength in depth but the players we have are by no means pushovers and if we have the right kind of siege mentality we can upset the odds this season.
    And yes I'm serious.
Let's not bring any negative energy into the ground tomorrow. Rooney is right, we can get 3 points and that should be the aim. Let's get the mentality right.
Can't wait to be in the ground tomorrow. Imagine what a win would do for this club on the opening day. I'm absolutely certain it would raise spirits massively. It won't solve our structural and financial issues but it will show that we've got some fight in us.
Adrenaline kicking in, I don't think I'm going to get to sleep now!!!
