  1. I wonder if he had the decision to make now, whether he’d still go? He might have wanted a fresh start no matter what, but Bristol City now looks like nothing more than a sidewards step.

If we get the recruitment right then we should be able to finish above teams like Bristol City.

  2. We’re in a rare position, season finished in April and we have two full months before contracts even expire to look at who we might be able to pick up on a free.

The first game of the season is the weekend around the 10th of August. That’s 15 weeks before our next competitive game, a hell of a lot of time to do a hell of a lot of work on getting this squad ready to compete in the Championship.

How many will be sober enough to actually see the match? 😂

It's a pity we can't get a few more building the atmosphere inside the ground, rather than in local hostelries. I take it some people only know how to support the team when they are half cut?

So did you want me to bring a bacon butty for you to the Neptune at 06:30 orrrr..?

It’s 7 goals actually Tam not 4 and there’s no way Posh do that. Wanderers will probably now start with a strong side and see how it goes but even our “weakened” side would still be stronger than Posh if Evatt doesn’t want to risk things. I was just wondering though will the Paul Simpson factor play a part, given his history with you will he really want his team to deny you your promotion?

If Posh win by 4, then they’ll be third. The GD is 7, but obviously if Posh’s goes up, Bolton’s goes down.

Either way that isn’t going to happen. Hopefully Peterborough don’t set up in a way that’ll see them get hammered themselves, as I don’t see how going into the playoffs on the back of that is a positive.

If ultimately we end up 3rd on Saturday, I’ll only be angry at ourselves, however it would be nice for the nerves and the nails not to be going into added time level with Carlisle whilst Bolton are 4-0 up.

  5. It’s going to be really interesting to see what Peterborough do in terms of team selection. I think Ferguson may have hoped they could rest players in the “easier” game and still get something from it.

His comments before suggested he would only go weaker v Cheltenham, as he said that was “his only chance to rest players.”

But now they’re pretty much 4th no matter what, why would they go stronger in a game that has even less riding on it for them?

They can’t exactly handpick who they play in the playoffs either, there’s 4 teams that can still finish 5th.

I understand they’ve had a tough run of games, I just can’t understand the thought process behind it all.

Harrison Burrows contract is up at Peterborough at the end of the season. Would take him in a heartbeat, superb LWB.

Think there’s rumours that he’s already off to Celtic, but even if that’s not true, I imagine there would be a lot of teams in for him that can/would pay more than us.

    Who is DCFC Lee?

I personally don't think Clowes should win it. Just not appropriate,  this award is about ordinary fans.

Clowes deserves all the accolades for what he did (last season, actually) bit in a different arena to this one.

He’s a fan from South Korea, did a UK trip earlier this season, I saw him at Burton away and he was getting a lot of attention. He gets up at ungodly hours to watch games and often posts the goals/key highlights live on Twitter.

But for this season of all seasons, it has to be B4. I downloaded the FanHub app purely to nominate him.

I really hope that we get promoted on Saturday but I’m not sure that I want to ever go back to the premier league. Never being able to properly celebrate a goal until all checks are complete is not what football is about (for me, anyway).

VAR will be in the Championship before long, too. Football just seems to get less enjoyable as seasons go on, I don't know if I would want to be in the PL either.

If you don't spend enough, you get battered, if you spend too much, you get punished. Oh and the only way to avoid punishment is to sell your best players to the top 6 to avoid more sanctions. Every season finishing 17th is a positive.

I'd much rather the big clubs f***** off to the Super League, take their VAR with them, let football go back to how it used to be.

  9. I don't get why Peterborough aren't just going to try and win by as many as possible in midweek, then see what they have to do? If they're 5 or 6 goals behind, then they should be going for it. If any team knows that a 4-goal advantage isn't a given, then it's them.
