Caerphilly Ram
Sounds like Nyambe is out for this one and an as yet unspecified further amount of time. With that bit of info I’d like to see a back 4 with Wilson at right back; Wildsmith Wilson Nelson Cashin Sibley NML Adams Bird Barkz Waghorn Gayle That’s what I’d like to see, just go for it in an old fashioned 4-4-2 with Waghorn able to drop in as the “10” and Gayle playing on the shoulder. Wilson and Sibley offer balance and an attacking outlet at fullback, NML and Barkhuizen carry assist and goal threats. I don’t think that’s what Warne will pick though, could see another 3 at the back or perhaps a 4-3-3 LeedsCityRam, Anag Ram and r_wilcockson
Eoghan1884
Wildsmith Smith - Nelson - Cashin - Sibley NML - Adams - Bird - CBT Waghorn - Gayle Bench: Loach, Ward, Bradley, Thompson, Hourihane, Wilson, Barkhuizen, I really believe Waghorn and Gayle would work great together up top and I’d love to stick it on Port Vale and pin them back. Without Nyambe I think Smith is the closest we have to him as a steady hard working full back. Then Wilson and Barkhuizen are great players to bring off the bench agaisnt tired legs. We should trust in our ability rather than trying to matchup against them. Barkhuisen offers slightly more defensive cover (only slightly) than CBT and he so often flatters to deceive. I hope he has a scoring game soon. Give PW a ring and offer your suggestions. We’re with you 😊 Caerphilly Ram

Old Spalding Ram
Blackett-Taylor must start tomorrow for me. Pearce said during his interview with Radio Derby that Blackett-Taylor and I quote was “ our number one target” during the January transfer window. We spend time chasing and signing an out and out winger with a good reputation at this level and throughout the league when starting in a front three. If ever he needed a bit of a confidence booster then starting against, on current form, the worst team in this league is a must. Mendez-Lang, Gayle, Blackett-Taylor up front, couple of full backs bombing on, advanced midfielders getting into the box, Adam’s in front of Nelson and Cashin and a sprinkling of attacking intent is all I ask for! 👍🐏 Walkley Ram, i-Ram, Caerphilly Ram and 3 others 4

Extremely talented young 'keeper and will hopefully become a first team regular at some point... not sure this is the right kind of pressure to throw him into straight away though! Wouldn’t worry about an academy player being thrown in to be honest. Not when you see who our manager is and the fact we had a cup competition that would have been the perfect opportunity to blood some academy players and they were over looked

As the stage is set for a clash of footballing titans, Port Vale, under the leadership of the illustrious Big Dave, embark on a journey to the hallowed grounds of Pride Park, where the once pristine pitch now bears the scars of battles past, its surface marred by the passage of time. Meanwhile, Derby County, perched precariously in the lofty heights of second place, find themselves under the watchful eye of Manager Warne, whose fervent devotion to wing-backs threatens to jeopardize their bid for automatic promotion. Amidst this tactical chess match, expect to witness a spectacle of long diagonal passes and set-piece specials as both sides vie for supremacy. With the stakes higher than ever, Warne must navigate his team through the treacherous terrain of the pitch without exhausting their reserves, striving to ignite the engine of victory and propel Derby County into fifth gear to secure a crucial triumph. Steve Buckley’s Dog
We need 5 at the back, a sweeper and 3 defensive midfielders for this one. Port Vale are a really good team and have athletes all over the park and good players at this level. 3 months ago they passed the ball through midfield so we’ll need to avoid that area at all costs. Make it into a battle and get it wide and whip it in for the big man up front. Keep this tight and hope to nick one late on then add another defender. It’s a tough game and they’ll have some fans there so we are probably the underdogs and must approach the game with caution.
