Why would that matter though (not suggesting you are saying it should) - if anything if you were out of contract and presumably looking for a move or a pay rise you'd be more motivated. In fact if we've dropped a player for not signing a contract that comes across like a punishment and can't be good for morale.

Don't think dealing with crosses is either keepers greatest strength. Pretty obvious Warne prefers Vickers so any hope people have of Joe returning is going to be in vain unless he gets injured or has a mare. Not forgetting Wigans 2nd goal on the opening game of the season 😮 Finding a keeper who doesn't make a mistake is like finding a pile of horse sh!t right under that rocking horse you bought your child for Xmas, Then eating your Xmas meal only to find hens teeth in your Chicken dinner. There could be a line of thinking in that why give game time to a player that doesn't see his future here, when I have one possibly equally as good here that does. The counter to that is obviously play your best players, which Wildsmith is, although it would be how Warne judges Vickers abilities as a keeper. Let's not forget though, we're just talking about possible scenarios, not looking to start rumours or claim any kind of source to this. Wildsmith could be more than happy here and this is way off from what's going on. Should be a question put forward to Warne though, not sure if it has, but dropping your number 1 doesn't usually go unquestioned even when there is an obviously drop in form. SSD
Two of the usual back four being out, plus Cashin having his player of the month curse, feel sorry for Vickers. Let's see him with our full strength defence. Tamworthram and Premier ram
Animal is a Ram
or... perhaps Vickers hasn't done anything bad enough for Warne, to warrant him losing his place to Wildsmith? He certainly hasn't in my eyes, even if he doesn't exactly fill me with as much confidence as Wildsmith. DiggerB
davenportram
Could he be one of the players who trigger an extension if he plays more games? Im sure Warne said something about this in an interview. at the end of the day Wildsmith is too inconsistent to be first choice in the championship so would make sense if we don’t want to extend his contract

inter politics
Unless it's a ridiculous hike, why would anyone not want to extend Wildsmith?! RoyMac5 and Carl Sagan 1

It's rare to have a consistent keeper. People rave about Pickford half the time he looks s****. JTLGamer13

SuperRams10
Clearly hasn’t learnt his lesson from Oxford away, new number 1 is as important as a number 9 in the summer.

Srg
Idiotic challenge you could see him making several seconds before he did. Bradley did fantastically to head it straight to them and kick it straight to them before getting done for pace in behind for it too. Truly top notch play. He was dropped because of a run of sub-par performances and a lack of composure in the 2nd minute of the Oxford game. It doesn’t appear he’s learned a great deal on reflection! SuperRams10
Think we are now beginning to see the reason he was 3rd choice at Wednesday, number of clean sheets is impressive but largely down to the way we set up under Warne & he is a decent shot stopper (like you’d expect most goalkeepers to be) 😕

Yeah that's probably what caused him to make a completely reckless challenge that he had no need to make.
