I sometimes listen to a podcast called Ramswriter. He can't write a sentence that is correct. And yes it does matter. It you call yourself Rams writer then you should be able to write. It's you're and it's they're and it's lose FFS I get it. Why don't the rest of you? I agree, but why 'quote' my Ode? (Deliberately delineated 'Owed' to imply that it is richly deserved). Many among us are fully paid up members of the Grammar Gestapo and/or Pedants anonymous but the popularity and variety displayed in this thread alone amply demonstrates the depth of knowledge and intelligence of members of this Website. PS my pet gripe is the use of 'of' in place of 'have' which I have even seen in official correspondence! Ram-Alf
I've worked with Arsen Rimmer and Frank Hoff, Frank was great, When filling forms out he'd always sign his name F Hoff, And Arsen would always leave the N off his Christian name. I'm not going down the road where Clare Una Nichols-Thompson is concerned. Crewton

I do agree that Mel is the villain - he put us into administration when he had previously vowed to continue financing us until he could sell the club, and he left us with a lot of debt. If the information we are given is correct, he is also not asking for repayment of £135,000,000 of loans to the club and he has sold the ground for £23,000,000 ,although it was valued at £81,000,000, which will be used to pay off his debt to MSD. He was naive and got out of his depth in trying to get us to the promised land but for you to say that he is “Truly one of the most repugnant human beings to ever walk this planet” is ridiculously over the top. I hope I never come before you in a court of law. How very generous of him to sell our stadium back to us at a reduced rate after he separated it from us in the first place and tied it to massive loans thst could have seen us lose it forever. twelveincher, SaffyRam and RAM1966

Its great news, I delighted that the club 'looks' as if its saved. Thanks CK. My reservations are still there, why splash out £35m on 5 players a goldern share and the fan base? It does not make sense to not purchase the ground too. A £81m asset available for £23m He's also pay 35p in the £, that way the debts is sretched over 3 years rather than paying 25p all in one go. This all suggests to me that cash flow is certainly tight to start with. Anyway, lets hope it completes and my concerns are unfounded. Im just glad we look like we will have a team to go and support next season and in League 1 without a points deduction. Keeping Wazza is a massive + for us. Unless I missed it, the stats also don’t say whereabouts the throw in are happening. Unless they’re in an attacking position then they’re unlikely to have much of an impact on the outcome of the game. Having a player with a long throw in their armoury is always handy but I don’t think these stats necessarily suggest they’re more useful in L1 than the Championship. The higher number of throw ins is down to the lack of quality in the passing. Lower pass accuracy on the wings = more throw ins Edited May 29, 2022 by tinman therealhantsram

Lower pass accuracy on the wings = more throw ins Probably so and, without further context, probably supports my second point. If the (marginally) extra number of throw ins are in a non-attacking position (assuming the lower pass accuracy isn’t the defenders trying to play the ball out - again, more context required before any conclusion can be drawn), having a “throw in specialist” isn’t anymore important than in the Championship.
