MACKWORTHRAM
Right I can't face reading through everything. Can we sign players? Can we offer new deals? How long do we have to have that £12,100 a week maximum salary?

Yep, £15,775,000 salary cap divided by 25 "permitted players" until the end of the season. Shouldn't prove too much of an issue, probably just means Jagielka & Baldock get a slight payrise in January ? r_wilcockson

Ambitious
I think the worrying part is: Quote The suspended three-point deduction will take effect if the Club does not comply with the terms of the budget as set out in the ‘Agreed Decision’ for the remainder of season 2021/22. I wonder what the agreed decision is in regards to the above? I would suggest without any doubt that January sales are inevitable in order to meet it - leaving us open to getting picked off. I can't imagine we can register any new contracts until the above is met either, so it's not just a case of taking the three points and moving on. I would say at least this is all behind us, but let's be honest - I highly doubt this is the last we ever hear of this.
Jubbs
Business plan means we can't sign anyone for a fee in January AND we can't even pay a loan fee. So if we do get a new owner willing to spend a little bit to prepare for League 1, they can't. Miggins

You don't need to read the whole decision, the budget restrictions are just the last 2 pages of the report.
BucksRam
Really saccharine statement from the EFL that galls. Trevor Birch, EFL Chief Executive said: “The EFL’s objective throughout this ongoing process has been to ensure that the principles of the Regulations were upheld on behalf of all Clubs......."except of course if they get promotion as a result of blatantly ignoring those rules then we'll quietly...ahem.....ignore it". Does this finally mean we can finally move on from this mess....finally? And roll on independent regulator please. duncanjwitham
So the interesting question becomes, assuming we have a rich new owner of course, would we actually be better off taking the 3 additional points and having a big splurge and signing some better players...
