Alot us didn't think Rooney was ready but he's sure putting that to bed the team look organised and switched on long may it continue. Clearly now playing for Him. Brammie Steve
Never mind that the team in 6th place has twice the number of points that we have and we are still in 22nd place. We are on our way NOW!
TuffLuff
Said it was an important game to really see where we are at abs I don’t think we put a foot wrong. More than impressive that, a game that puts the league on notice. Looking forward to the Christmas period if we carry on like that.
Ramarena
Excellent result lots of good performances and plenty of desire and we looked much more balanced. Midfield definitely clicked and shows plenty of energy, intelligence and bravery. Byrne and wags linked up nicely, so did Joz and Buchanan. Kaz is a proper battering ram striker with good touch and mobility. Wiz and Clarke did well too recycling possession quickly and effectively. Some nice pairing starting to build and 2 ducking goals in one game!!!!!!
minesahartington
What a change since we play to our strengths (even if limited) on front foot, close them down. None of the backwards , sit back, invite pressure and possession in your own half nonsense. tremendous and we look like a team that is actually playing for each other now
Cool As Custard
On 07/11/2020 at 17:47, Cool As Custard said: Only reason to give Rooney the job is that he might not play himself & might do less damage as manager than he does as a player !! I think this prediction from a month ago is now coming to fruition - it’s no coincidence we are playing better without him in the team. Far more dynamic in midfield & playing at a higher tempo now
Steve Buckley’s Dog
Very good. First half we were excellent and played them off the park. Second half, the attitude, desire and work rate was exceptional. I have been critical of attitude and fitness in the past but no concerns tonight. To a man, well played. The spine of the team looked so strong tonight. Shinnie was everywhere. Bielik imperious. Really happy with that.

Old Sawley Popside
A well deserved win tonight - can't fault the way the players applied themselves to the task this evening. They collectively worked their socks off! Another game without conceding a goal can only boost the confidence of the defence. I hope that Rooney persists with using the 4-3-3 formation. I'm beginning to feel cautiously, very cautiously optimistic about the future but obviously it's early days.

Wolfie20
For a team with 6 defenders, 1 midfielder and 3 attackers that wasn't too bad was it?
Ellafella
We played 4-3-3 didn’t we @i-Rambut doubt Mac would’ve advised that eh? ?

JuanFloEvraTheCocu'sNesta
Three games in a row now in which we haven't given up a shot on target. Brentford, Stoke, Swansea. Not crap.
AndyinLiverpool
I don't remember the last time I went through an entire game without the feeling that the opposition would score at some point.
Gone
Brilliant performance, attacking 433 and Steve Mac, Coincidence? I think not. COYR, Ei ei ei o...............
IlsonDerby
Anyone else not worried one bit in the second half? We’ve been solid defensively over the last few games, just couldn’t score. I didn’t have any of that anxiety from previous games holding on to a lead because we’ve built from the back?
TomTom92
Excellent win, was not a Rooney in fan but can’t say anything against him after the last 4 performances.
Millenniumram
GET IN!! A home win, finally! Thoroughly deserved as well. Outstanding performance all round, from every player out there - both defensively and in attack. The work rate and energy levels were so much better than what we’ve seen most of the season. When you play with that much fight and intensity, you’re far more likely to create chances. And we saw that tonight, we could have easily had a couple more as well. Well done to everyone, fantastic result that against a very strong side!
