Stephen Pearson was confident on radio Derby and is effectively putting his career on the line over it, so it should happen soon.

In other news Craig Fagan has recently commented on how he believes the hotel at the side of Pride Park is due to happen in the autumn, Jay McEverley ponders the legal implication of a third appeal from the EFL over the stadium purchase, Eddie Lewis considers the insurance ramifications of the recent C-19 outbreak at Moor Farm and Bennie Fielhaber asks if it's time to add a chicken and mushroom pie to the menu in the concourses once we re-open.

Not sure how many times this needs to be said, but the Arabs do not have the money, which is considerably less than initially reported.

Just now raising the money to buy the club is unlikely to be the problem. The problem is getting investors who will commit to fund the ongoing losses as well as provide what else is required to move the club forward.

Likely that Mel is reluctant to sell to anyone who doesn’t demonstrate this level of ambition. It’d be quite possible to find investors who would buy the club for peanuts, take a risk on covid and let it go into administration if the gamble does not pay off

still sort of intrigued by the idea of an owner/manager - happened at Carlisle and Palace according to a google search just now. Go for it Wayne, take us and Mel out of our misery

I'm picking up a puppy at the end of the month. It wasn't even alive when this takeover nonsense started.

To be fair, there were dogs born today that are puppies. Now, if you’d said Mutton.... ?

But that’s exactly what he told us ?

So, which is it ? He’s so confident it’s going through he’s putting his career on it or Mel tells him what to say and he hasn’t got a bloody clue ? ?

I think you’re taking the mick with that last one.

Naturally he agreed with Mel what to say. But the signs were that neither of them really knew what was happening at the Sheikh’s end. Don’t know whether that has changed ...
