A lad that seems to have been forgotten. Ian Ashbee think one game for us then went to Hull and captained them in all four divisions.

Going from 1967 onwards:
1. DAVID NISH (Criminal he only had 5 England Caps, but obviously his injuries played a big factor).
2. Micky Forsyth (Underrated by most 325 appearances with half of them in the top flight.)
3. John Robson (Would have been a fixture for years if we had not brought in Nish)
4. Chris Powell ( Good player and a great guy)
5. Craig Forsyth (Like namesake Micky you don't really miss him until he is not there)
6. Steve Buckley (One of the Trench crew that brought us back from the brink in 84, local lad too and his dog is written in Derby Folklore!!)
A mention for Tony Dorigo who did well in the short time he was here.

Grenet was a right back
Luciano Zavagno was the LB then , he was ok but not a world beater

No one has done that.
The point was they're making good signings, in fact, SO FAR of a better age profile for the future than we made LAST season despite their financial troubles and recent embargo. The comparison is between their summer this year and ours last year.
They have made 2 signings so far , let’s see who else they sign before making judgements . Whether the signings are any good , like ours we won’t know until the action starts .

Not sure why people are banging on about Lewis Wing. Apart from a decent spell at Wycombe last season the rest of his career is very ordinary looking at Wiki for a 28 year old . Not rated by Boro and Wednesday fans , I’ve probably only seen him play a couple of times and not really noticed him.
Could be a late developer and L1 is his level but nothing he has done so far suggests he will be a game changer for whoever he signs for .
Obviously only my opinion and he might crack in 20 goals from midfield. 😁 -

They have made more attacking signings than we have, something that Warne highlighted as a priority.
2 forwards aren’t much help if you don’t have a defence or midfield 😉

Hardly, we signed a load of grandads. They’ve signed Knibbs and Smith, look favourites for Wing too.
The oldest player we have signed so far is 31. Bradley is 30 the rest are under 30 hardly grandads.

Reading have signed 2 players so far and released 11.

its only not legally wrong because the people that write the laws are often the ones with interests that protect them in businesses
its completely wrong on every level, to put the club he "loves" at risk like he did was unforgivable
Better than being an alleged drug smuggler , match fixer and bakery burner

Exactly. So having banked a bit of money last season from gates well in excess of the business plan, season ticket sales much higher than our one or two closest competitors and seval times higher than most, plus fees for Bielik and Knight, plus savings in wages on both its time to get our hand in our pockets and pay a fee or two. I want to see a couple of young Bobby Davison type speculative signings where we back the judgement of our scouting team. Please NOT any more over the hill players such as Sharpe or Rhodes where we look to squeeze the last few drops, or journeymen players like Collins and Washington. Lets have some IMAGINATION
We may know of such players but are their clubs willing to part with them for what we can afford ?
Time yet in this window , a lot can change quickly and the Prem clubs will be thinking about loans soon. -

Anyone recognise this fella?
Just one of the greatest players ever to wear the shirt watching Belper Town take on the DCFC Academy side tonight at the Raygar Stadium. He, of course played for Belper Town too late on in his career.
With due acknowledgement to Mike Smith the official Belper Town photographer for his fabulous shot.
The King 👍🏼

Not a fan of this
For me, he encapsulates the Mel Morris era.
And calls the club Derby city, seems a odd appointment. Surely Fozzy would be a better fit?
Bradley has a FIFA A licence for coaching , has been coaching our youngsters part time since and after his playing time at DCFC. He has ambitions to be a coach so seems a great fit.
Not sure if Fozzy has any coaching badges or wants to be one ? I’m sure if Fozzy wants to be there will be room for both.
Hourihane is also doing part time coaching at Villa . -

This could end up like when we signed Nugent instead of Watkins.
Blackpool or Reading will probably get Nombe for 500-750k then sell him for Millions in a couple of years! We tried to sign Watkins under Mac , Exeter rejected our deal and later took a lower one from Brentford. Nugent was a Rowett signing if my memory is correct. The two weren’t connected.

More that we have two strikers well over 30, and now linked with another.
31 and 32 are hardly “well” over 30.

Do you think its possible he may have been exaggerating? 10 years of adult life, that's 1000 women per year, 3 per day. Even if they were all one night stands, that's going some.
Leeds fans will have shagged more 🧐

Confirmation that the Pat Brown rumour was true.
Worcestershire fans consoling themselves that he's not found his 2019 form that saw an England call up in the T20’s in the last couple of seasons...or crying that their now losing players to little old Derbyshire 😂
After already losing Tongue and Pennington their bowling ranks are looking slim.
As for Brown, T20 is where he's made his name. He's only played a handful of first class and list a (not helped as he plays in the hundred) games.
Turns 25 in August, strengthens the young group off bowlers - Conners, Aitchison, Potts.
Great signing if he stays fit. Hope that the others can kick on better than this season.

More like in 1971/72 men were men and also didnt fall over as if they had been shot
Many were patched up and given injections of cortisone etc and played when they shouldn’t have. Many had careers shortened and others are now suffering because of that with arthritis etc. A chat with Roy Mac will confirm that .
Smaller squads , finances and a lack of care for players welfare at the time major factors. Plus bravery of some and fear of losing wages for others.
A golden time to watch but not always great for the players. A very different game now.
